PUSHELBERG - HARBURN
Susan Lynn Harburn and Kenneth Brian
Pushelberg were married Friday, August 9,
1985 at Hibbert United Church by Rev. A.H.
Daynard. The bride is the daughter of Ernest
and. Gwen Harburn of RR 2, Staffa and the
groom is the son of Lloyd and Edith
Pushelberg of Brodhagen. Maid of honor
was Jean Johns of RR 2, Staffa, friend of the
bride and bridesmaids were Ruth Chappel,
of RR 2, Staffa, sister of the bride and Anne
Pushelberg of Brodhagen, sister of the
groom. Best man was Dwight Pushelberg of
Brodhagen, brother of the groom and guests
were ushered by Larry Pushelberg of
Brodhagen, brother of the groom and Alfred
Chappel of RR 2, Staffa, brother-in-law of
the bride. Music was provided by Mary F.
Dow of Mitchell and Joanne Wallace and
Lowell Skinner. A reception was held at the.

Nancy Stoll and Steve Gordon were married
Saturday, September 14, 1985 at Mark
Street United Church, Peterborough. The
bride is the daughter of Beatrice Stoll and
the late Edgar Stoll of RR 3, Kippen and the
groom is the son of Robert and Marie
Gordon of Peterborough. Matron of Honor
was Rose Forestell, of Peterborough, friend.

Country Club in Peterborough. The couple
now reside at 15 Hunter St. W., in
Peterborough.

Tina Marie Strong and Michael Eugene
Taylor were married in a double ring
ceremony by Rev. J. Bechtel, Saturday.
September 21, 1985 at Wesley Willis United
Church in Clinton. The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. James Strong of Clinton and
the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Terry
Taylor of RR 4. Clinton, Maid of Honor was
Valerie Lewis, of Clinton and bridesmaids
were Angie Demer of Clinton, Bev Taylor of
Seaforth, Carol Straugheen of Clinton and
Kara Strong of Clinton. Best man was Roy
Taylor of Clinton and ushers were Rick
Taylor, of Clinton, Mery Taylor of Missis-
sauga, Jerry Faber of Kippen and Robin
Scanow of Seaforth. The couple now reside

Youth Year marked
by public speaking
In celebration of 'International Youth Year,
the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair is hosting
a public speaking competition on Thursday,
November 14. All rural youth between the
ages of 15 and 24 are eligible to enter. Each
contestant must give a five to seven minute
prepared speech on a current issue
pertaining to Ontario's agriculture and food
industry, as well as introduce and thank
another speaker. The fust prize winner will
have the opportunity to visit and lunch with
the Minister of Agriculture and Food. The
five finalists will each receive a copy of the
book entitled "The Farm."
Entry forms are available from county
O.M. A. F. offices and closing date for entries
is Wednesday, October 16.

Health care facilit
On Monday residents of the Seaforth
Health Care Facility went to Noble Lanes to
bowl. High winner was Patrick Ryan.
On Wednesday the Rev. Archie Robertson
of the Bethel Bible Church, held a service for
residents. Mrs. Lobb played her chord organ
and sang a duet with Mr. Lobb. Mrs.
McGonigle and Mrs. Siemon read a poem.
Ila Gardner presented Mr. Robertson with a
cross she made for his church. Refreshments
were served.
On Thursday, Jackie Racho attended an
RA.S.P, meeting in Tavistock 14ursjn
Home. Also on Thursday residents entered
several items of crafts they made for the fair.
Some of the residents won prizes for their
entries and were pleased.
On Friday residents went to see the
parade and then up to the fairgrounds in the
afternoon. They all enjoyed the horse race,
doing their own betting on the horses.
