The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Maloney of RR 5, Seaforth and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Sararas of Mensal!. Matron of Honor was Leanne beBlock, sister of the' bride and bridesmaids were Colleen Melady and Carolyn O'Reilly, friends of the bride, Jill Whaling, cousin of the bride and Jodi Sararas, sister of the groom. Jeff McKay was best man and guests were ushered by Jerry Smith and Ken Aikenhead, friends of the groom. Al Sararas, brother of the groom and Pat Maloney, brother of the bride. A reception was held at the Seaforth and District Community Cen- tres. The couple honeymooned in the. Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania and now reside in Stratford. OBITUARIES KEALEY William Grant Kealey, of Hanover, formerly of Grey Township, died Friday, September 6 at the Owen Sound General and Marine Hospital, at the age of 82. He is survived by his wife Caroline. two daughters, Dytha, Mrs. Harry Douelle, Saltford, Arizona; Carolyn, Mrs. John Downs, Garden Grove. California and one son, Bill, of Port Elgin. He is also survived by six grandchildren. After resting at the Brussels Chapel. a service for Mr. Kealey was held at the M.L Watts Funeral Home, on September 9 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Douglas Black officiating. Mr. Kealy was buried in the Brussels Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ken McDonald, Don McDonald, Jack Connelly, Adam Wray and Kevin and Craig Kealey. Flower bearers were Harvey Adams and Emerson Kyle. WARD Erie Oppal Ward, of Brussels. died September 10 at Wingham and District Hospital, in her 91st year. She is survived by one sister. Violet Beecroft, of London; close friend Ada Brittain, of Brussels; three nieces and one nephew. She was predeceased by her husband, Fled Ward and two sisters. Mrs. Ward rested at the Brussels Chapel, M.L Watts Funeral Home, where a funeral service was held September 12, at 11 a.m. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London. Alberta and Daniel John of London and daughter Dorlene Mary and husband James Majer of Kitchener Also surviving are a brother Joe, of Seaforth and sisters. W HL1AM J. STOREY William J. Storey of Mullett Township died September 10, 1985 at Seaforth Community Hospital. He was 82. Predeceased by his wife Beryl Norris in 1983 and two brothers, Francis and Joseph, Mr. Storey is survived by a son Robert, of Kitchener, and daughter Elizabeth (Mrs. Lloyd Dale) of RR 2, Seaforth. Also surviving are brothers Edmund of London, Orville, Charles and Harold, all of Seaforth, Ellwood of Woodstock, Lloyd of Stratford and Arnold of Milverton; sisters Matilda (Mrs. Jock Earl) of Athens, Kathleen (Mrs. Wilmer Cuthill) of Seaforth, Clara (Mrs. Elmer Dale) of Clinton, Margaret (Mrs. George Wasson) of Walton and Mavis (Mrs. Arthur Guest) of St. Clements; and two grandchildren. Friends called at the Whitney Ribey Funeral Home in Seaforth until Friday when funeral services were held. Interment Mait- landbank Cemetery. Rev. David Snihur officiated. FAMILY Area students Clinton and area guitar students of Paul Stevenson recently competed in the annual Central Music League Festival held at Bingeman Park, Kitchener. This competition is open to any student in Ontario who studies piano, organ, accordion, guitar and -or drums. Students came from as far south as Tillsonburg, as far north as Harriston and as far east as Toronto. Classes include solos, duets, ensembles, mixed ensembles and bands. There are also special classes for the amateur entertainer and artists ranging in age from under nine and up. Those who achieved first class standing were as follows: Sarah Lebeau, Michael Campbell, Brad Ribey, Tim Elliott, Duane Siertsema, . Scott Kirton. Darrell Levis, compete in Kitchener Darren Stevenson, Dawn Powell, Brad Schroeder, Terry Strickland, Shawn Lester, David Stevenson, and Doug Gilbert (2). Second class awards went to Shelly Lansink, Carrie Lynn Baker, Jim Crawford, Melvin Bergsma, Shane Taylor, Dwight Caldwell, and Chris Smith. Tom Eaton received a Third Class mark. Adjudicator's Awards, given to those with the highest mark in their class, were awarded to Jeff Oesch, Sherri Oesch, Sherry Levis, Tim Nolan, Susan Govenlock and Scott Crawford. This award was also given in the duet division to Darrell and Sherri Levis, Darren Stevenson and Brad Schroeder, David Stevenson and Doug Gilbert, and Terry Strickland and Dawn Powell. Project coordinating workshops The Midwestern Region of the Ontario Association for the Mentally Retarded initiated a project in July of this year funded through the Trillium Foundation to provide assistance to agencies serving people who are developmentally handicapped, in evaluating the programs they offer. Over the next nine months, the Trillium Quality Assurance. Project will coordinate workshops and training sessions within Middlesex, Huron, Perth, Oxford, Elgin and Haldiman-Norfolk Counties so that organiza- tions may learn how best to ensure the highest quality of life for consumers. Additional areas to be explored will include the stated purposes of the agency, its basis for planning and . the cost-effectiveness of service provided. Such orientation should result in an increased proficiency among agencies and consumers in assessing the effectiveness and appropriateness of service provided and lead ultimately to a greater degree of excellence in that area. Local residents will be encouraged to participate in this process, which will have an effect upon all members of the community. The Clinton Junior Guitar Band received the first place trophy and the Clinton Senior Guitar Band received a second place trophy. Accordion students Richard Bergsma and Cheri Kryzonowski received first class marks and Cheri was also awarded the Adjudica- tor's Awand. The following piano students of local teachers who competed were Becky Lebeau, Andrea Ribey, Luanne Stevenson, Theresa Siegel; and Cheri Taylor, first class; Leanne Stevenson and Cheri Taylor, first class duet; Christine and Terry Strickland, Adjudicator's Award duet; Sherri Levis, two seconds.
