Artisan Market hosts soft opening By Denny Scott The Citizen The Blyth Artisan Market's soft launch on May 31 has been deemed a success according to organizer Amy Zoethout. I was pleased with the number of people that came out to support the makers we had there for the first night" The event will feature food starting at its June 7 grand opening with the addition of vendors Blyth Farm Cheese and Blyth Creek Maple Farm. Emily Phillips welcomed everyone to church and especially the members of the Blyth Legion Ladies Auxiliary and members of the Legion along with members of the Goderich Legion. The members of the Legion paraded to their seats. "0' Canada" was sung and the Legion placed the colours at the front of the church. Emily drew everyone's attention to the announcements printed in the bulletin and added a few more. Emily asked the congregation to greet one another. The opening hymn was "Sing a Happy Hallelujah." Emily lit the Christ candle on the altar table. The call to worship was repeated responsively followed by the prayer of approach repeated responsively and the singing of the Lord's Prayer. The next hymn, "All Things Bright and Beautiful" was sung. The scripture reading was from 11 Timothy 2: 20 -21 read out of an older version and then out of a modern day version of the Bible. It is a large family! I cannot reckon up all the branches, but they are all closely related to Satan --they are all sworn enemies to our peace. If we lie low, then the Lord will raise us up. But if we will be something, then His arm will surely pull us down.
