first-class honors in primary piano at
the exams. held at London Conservatory
of.Music. • Miss May Powell was among
the successful pupils at the Toronto Con-
servatory of Music.

have made a great improvement in the

al has arrived for the Holmes' block and
the new buildings at the Western Foun-

-The work of building a new side-
walk and erecting a new windmill at
the 0, P. P. grounds is in progress this
week.
-The annual convention off the Huron
County Woman's Christian Temperance
Union will be held in Zurich on August
25th and 26th.
The Colborne Hotel at Goderich will
change bands in a couple of weeks or so.

-The opening chapters of a new story

meeting.
--Mr. Harkness has sold his farm at
Redgrave to Mr. Dickett, of Howick,
for $10,000. Mr. Dickett has sold his
property, lot 27, con. 15, Howick to Mr.
