Mr. William. Rose, ono of the oldest
en; most respected cittzepa of Brunie,
died suddenly at hie home, Thursday
Morning. Mr. Rose was born in the
parish of Aimee, Rolle -shire, S2otland,
August 80, 1828, lie came to O,1n„adp
fifty six years ago, and until a few year a
ago was engaged in the milling business,
beiog one of the oldest millers In Cana-
da. He was a member of the Presby.

The annual meeting of Knox Church
congregation was held on Friday, good
reports were given by the various or-
ganizations, Total reoeipte, $1900; con-
tribution to schemes and philanthropic
purposes, $385. The committee was
authorized to prooeed with the building
of 30 feet to the end of the sheds. Bal-
ance on hand $314. Knox Ohuroh has a
property valued at $15,000.
The Saorament of the Lord's Sapper
will be observed next Sabbath, 12th Alp.

The anneal report of Calvin ehurob,
St. Helene, for 1910, has been leaned in
printed form. According to the report
of Session there were at the °lose ot the
year 200 communicants on the roll.
During the year eight had been
added by profession of faith and
seven by oertifloate; while eight had re-
moved. There were ten Baptisms—three
adults and seven infanta. The Board
of Managers report receipts amounting
to $1624.44, this including a balanoe
from 1909 of $361 04. The balanoe over
at the end of 1910, was slightly lees,
amounting to $813.40. The minister re-
ceived $613 40; general expenses am-
ounted to $250.78, while congregational
soofetiee used $4e4.34. The present
board of managers fa constituted as fol.
lows: Jas. Aitoheson, W. C. Webb,
W. E. McPherson, W. Webb, T. B.
Taylor, Robinson Woods, D 0 MoLeod,
