DIED IN WIxr uAX—There passed peacefully away last Monday, June 21st, Elizabeth Miller,, beloved wife of Simon VanNorman, on her 74th birth- day. Mrs. VanNorman has been a resident in the vicinity of Belgrave for 53 years, and bad experienced all the hardships of a pioneer life. She was married to her surviving husband 52 years ago. She was of a kind and charitable disposition, and a good christian woman, -one who bore brave. Iy all her troubles in life, trusting iii her Saviour,. She was a member of the Methodist church, Belgrave. Mrs, VanNorman had not been in the best of health for some time, and while visiting her sons in Wingham, took a paralytic stroke on Wednesday, the 10th. She Iay for several days at the home of her son John, in an unoon- selous state, until death released her, She leaves a bereaved husband, five sons and four daughters. The sons are—Van R., John W. X. and Charlie. of Wingham, Robert of Hamiota, Man., and Frank of Bruce Mines. .The daughters are—Mrs. Vanalstine and Mrs. Hanna of'Hamiota, Nan,, Mrs. McDonald of Winnipeg, and Mrs. Hopper of Morris.. There are also two brothers and three sisters surviv- ing—Win. J. and Robt. E, Miller of Bruce Mines, Mrs. Embury of Lenore, Man., Mrs. Brandon and Mrs. Perrin of Brandon, Man. Her remains were brought from the residence of her son in Wingham on Wednesday to the Methodist church, Belgrave,.where an impressive service was conducted; by her pastor, Rev. G. -W. Rivers.
