Christ is there: Hymers

weakness, but they will be raised in
strength. They are buried as natural
human bodies, but they will be
raised as spiritual bodies. For just as
there are natural bodies, there are
also spiritual bodies."
The message of this scriptural
passage opens for us the
understanding of Christ's ability to
be with us always, to appear when
troubled times occur and to reassure
us that Christ was there on that
lonely roadside.
That Christ appears and
disappears so as not to be a constant
vision allows us to be independent
and resourceful on our own. This
way we do not become dependent on
ourselves and Christ and become
individuals with no connection to
the outside world or others around
us, but rather family with one
another. Christ was there on that
roadside just as He was on the
roadside near Emmaus.
Christ is with us. We just have not
recognized Him possibly because as
in Luke 24: 16 "but God kept them
from recognizing Him. Then we end
with verse 31: "Suddenly their eyes
were opened, and they recognized
Him. And at that moment He
disappeared."
Jesus has a special way of entering
into our lives and being present
when we need Him the most, we are
just blind to realizing His role or the
role He has played.
Pastor Sean Brandow asked
"where was God?" as we all did.
God was there in our soul and souls
of the ones lost, in the souls of the
paramedics and the ambulance
drivers, in the soul of the doctors and
nurses and in the souls of all the
parents and friends.
Christ was there, helping
when human hands and minds
could do no more, there when
we needed Him the most. Christ
was there.
