If good weath- er prevails; he told the members of the Perth Association, Itis likely there will be between 75,000 and 100,000 people in attendance during the week of the match. The event is scheduled for October 14 to 15, inclusive, and plans are being put into shape rapidly to assure success of the big match. "The End of the Lane" a comedy - drama in three acts by Lillian Mortimore, will be presented by the Naomi Players of Brigden, under the auspices of the Lad- ies' Aid of St. Andrew's United Church in lieu of their annual lat,n social, in Mem- orial Hall, Blyth, on Saturday er ening, May 31st. This play has been presented a number of tines with unprecedented success and promises to be something just a little better in the way of entertain- ment. Nott entertained a number of her friends last Wednesday afternoon. Miss Gibson of Blyth, was the guest of Mr, and Mrs. H. Moon over the week end. Miss H, Gandier, of Clinton, spent over the week end with her fiend. Miss E. Watson. Mr. Harold Snell, of Victoria College, Toronto, is spending his vacation with his parents here, Mr, John Scutt had a quantity of hey pressed last week, the work being done by Mr. W, Johnston. Mr. and Mrs. Campbell, of Mortis, were the guests of Miss Rachael Wood- man on Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. II. Brundson, of Blyth, were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. Adams, on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Campbell, of Walton. were Sunday visitors at the home of Mr, and Mrs S. Woodman, Mrs. W.
