residence of the brides parent's, Staple-
ton, on Wednesday, April 16th, when
Miss Frances, eldest daughter of Geo
Cochrane, was united in marriage to
Thos T. Carter, son of the late Isaac
Carter. The ceremony was per/ or m ed
by Rev Mr, Dunlop, of the Baptist

Toronto, April 22.-Prioes were a little
eseier at the Toronto Cattle Market th.e
morning 40 a result of the weakening of the
Liverpool, °Mono and Buffalo markets.
The long reign of high prices has brought
out a large number of cattle, and the de-
niand at Liverpool has therefore fallen off
a little, pnnoipally because of the high
prices asked. The market receipt(' were
102 loads, which included 1;720 cattle, 586
eheep and lambs, 663'hogs and 175 oalvee
Export Cattle -Were easier,selling at $5,'. 5
to $6.25 per owt for ohoige ones and $8.50
to $5 per owl) for medium. Butolue e'
Cattle -Were steady, gelling at $5.25 to
$5.75 per owt for picked lots and $5 to
$5,40 per owt for ohoioe ones. Common
to &home sold a184 to $5 per cwt. Feed-
ers and Stookers-Were steady, selling at
$4 to $5 per owt for short-keep•feeders and
$4 to $4,25 per owt for heavy 'stocker&
bheep-Were higher, Belling at 64 to $4.50
per owt for export ewes. Lambe were eas-
ier, selling at $5.50 to $6.50 per oft for
yearlings and $2,50 to 115 eaoh for spring
lambs. Hogs -Were higher, selling at
136.50 per owt for ohoiorand $6.25 per owt
for lights and fats.
