Ontario Elections,
lega,wess IP
I -buratto, May 21.
• moult, Of the elettione has been
fixed ter the 26th of May, so that the
two parties have now practically only
a month in which to do their campaign
work. The record of the Rose adMins
istration is one that should, appeal to
the good judgment of evei y elector. It
has beep a record of wise and judicious
legislation, honest and clean handling
of the public funds, and no elector can
lay his hand upon any particular trans
action of the government, and, say it
was an unproper or scandalous act.
The temperance question is being
forced into the political arena at this
juncture. To be logical and consistent,
eve, y temperance advocate should
support the government of Mr Ross.
R promises that if he is retureed, lend
the referendum earriee, he will intro•
duce a prohibitory law. M?Ross has
been a total abstainer all bis life. RIB
.government is a temperance govern-
ment.
On the other hand Mr Whitney is not
personally in favor of prohibition. He
say publicly he does not believe in it,
and will do nothing to secure, nor will

For Mewl years we have been selling
wall paper to the people of Clinton and
cinity, -and we feel proud to- think of • the
many homes we haive brightened and the
hundreds of satisfied customers that have
passed in and out of our doors during these
years.
' This Spring finds us in a better position

tomers and we have no doubt that when. the trade. is over'our business will show
a large increase over last *season. - • - ;„ '
• Wall paper buying is a science and we have mastered it. Those Who buy front
us get the 'benefit of our knowledge and experience, and we sometimes wonder which
our customers will like best—the 'Wall Paper or the price as both are unusual.

It seems to be a waste of time for people to go elsewhere before coming here

expect from Mr Whitney. • caUSe they invariably wonder why they (MIA come here first.
