success. There was an immense crowd
of representative people from all the
denominations in town and everything

township in the year 1841. His early
education was received in the old log

On Friday evehing the most interest-
ing game of football of the season
was played in the agricultural grounds
between Wingham and Blyth tearias.
After a well contested game being
played ;they were even, no goals being
made ,on either side, There was a
large attendance of spectators to wit-

The Bandon picnic is a thing of the
past. For this year the day Was an ideal
one for the business. Mr. Hamilton and
his assistants had a gooa program pre-
pared for the occasion,the other amuse.

Mr. M. Kersaaw of Londongave
lecture in the town hall last Thursday
evening on the British -Boer war which
was illustrated by bea.utifill lime light
views. The lecture was both enter-
taining and instructlye. 13esides the
war scenes many other excellent pic-
tures were shotvn including 'yiews of
the funeral of our late beloved Qireen.
Altogether the lecture was 'good and
worthy of public patronage. -

The remains were taken from her late
