DEATH OF E. E. CHAMBERS.
Iv our last issue we referred to
the death of' 11. Al. Chambers' broth-
er,Edward Cham bet's, who died in
Winnipeg. The funeral took place
Friday afternoon !roil Air, Henry's
residence at IC:ncardine, Re leaves
two eiders, Mrs. Samuel Hewitt, of
Bervie ; Miss Henry, of fiincardine,
end Mr. Chambers of town. His age
was 24 yeru's and 11 months, We
take the 1'ulluwing item from the
deity Telegram, Winnipeg, of Oct.
23rd, which refers to his death :--
"The remains of the late Edwin E.
Chambers, it'ho died at the Drink -
water private hospital en Sunday
afternoon stternoon after two weeks'
illness of typhoid fever, were taken
to the C, P, R. station yesterday
afternoon for shtpmeut east for
buret!. A short service was held at
Gnrdiner's undertaking parlors. Mr,
Chambers had no relatives in the
city except a distant relative, Mr.
Shields at 463 William avenue, at
whose home he had roomed for the
past three years, but by his l'rault
and cheerful disposition he had
trade a large number of fest friends
who were present at the service to
pay their last respects. He was a
member of Union Lodge, No, 14,
L 0. 0, F', ; Jubilee Lodge, No, 6,
Brotherhood of Railway Carmen of
America, and the Order of Chosen
Friends, which lodges all attended
the funeral in a body. The service
at the undertaking roosts W58 coil -
ducted by !Rev, J. W. Churchill, of
lVesley church, in the absence of
Rev. 31. Wigle, of Zion church, at
which latter church he was n regu
lar attendant and assistant secretary
of the Sunday 8011001. Among the
floral tributes on the casket of the
deceased were an anchor from Zion
Sunday 8011001, an anchor from his
fellow hoarders at 481 William ave-
nue, a wreath from (leo. White, a
wreath t'rom Union L0adge, 1.0.0. F.,
one from the Order of Carmen, a
wreath front three oi' his most inti.
mate friends -Wm. Hawkins, Mr.
Teeter and P. W. Stone, a wreath
from Mr. and Mrs. Walter Cannon, a
beautiful pillow from a friend, two
floral tributes from lady friends and
other t'ementbrances. The remains
will be interred at Kincardine, Ont.,
the boyhood home of the deceased."
Among the floral tributes on the

bouquets, Misses Sadie and Jean Blair
Masa Henry's Sunday School class,
all of Kincardine ; bouquet, Alias
Emma Beattie and wreath from Mr.
and Airs, 0, M. Chambers and sisters.
The following letter of condolence
was sent to Mr. Chambers by the
Sunday school : Dear Mr. Chambers,
-On behalf of the officers and
members of Zion church Sunday
School I wish to extend to you and
yours our heartfelt sympathy in
your sudden bereavement by the
death of your dear brother. We
feel that we also have suffered a loss
in his removal from amongst us, as
his sterling character and courtesy
had made hint many friends. Per.
