Goderich Township
Tho following refers to an interest-
ing incident and will be understood by
those who are aware of the circum-
stance:
Entrusted to your infinite care
Is this small child to -day ;
Each day you are to comb its hair
And its sweet voice obey.
•
Three times a day you will just break
Some bread into a tin,
Pour boiling water over it,
Now put some sugar in.
At night I want you to protect
And keep it snug and warns,
And if it happens to make a break,
Put another n—y on.
Now, my nay dear young man, this I
know,
Your heart is large and true ;
I charge you, On this child to bestow
All the love that possesses ypu.
And if you do, you may he sure
Your life will he happy here;
And for your future lite, my boy,
You'll never need to fear.
