Polley, of Goderich, was here last week looking for horses, but we heard of no sales. Professor W. P. Habkirk, of Blyth, has been engaged by Steve Medd, of Beaverton, to break in a pair of mules. Mr. B. Hamilton, teacher, has been unable to attend to work owing to ill- ness. We understand that Mr. D. Mc- Kenzie is a little on the mend. A splendid evening was spent at the residence of William Symington, of, Auburn. Everybody enjoyed them- selves. It is with regret that we learned of the death of P. Kelly of Blyth. THE PINE FORESTS. L. a fraternal visit and was happy to see the prosperous condition of the Lodge. A pleasin picture of the meeting was the initis tion of two new members and on joining by certificate. The newly initi ated ones got a thorough drilling in th work of the Orange degree. L. 0. L 733 is in good standing. W. Bro. Sec Palmer was instructed to make a ban deposit: Bro.
