THE SCHOOL. -Work at the public school has beenprogressingvery rapid- ly during the past week. The jacks have now been given their last turn, and the workmen expect to finish the brickwork by Thursday noon. After that the plastering has to. be done, which will make the completion of the job a little later than the time called for by the contract.
