Being a By -Law to rain by way of
Loan the, SUM of 'ire Thoueand
' Dollars for the purpose loreinalter
mentioned.
Whereas the Municipal Corporation of the
Village of Dayfield has resolved o raise by
way ot Icehr the sum of Five Thousand
Dollars for the purpose of granting aid by
way of a bonus to the amount of Two Thous-
and Dollara, and by way of loan for ten
years without interest t• the amount ot Three
Thousand Dollars to della C. Kalbfleisch oldie
county of Buren and Province of Ontario, to
enable the said John C. Kalbtleisth to estab-
lish and carry on * Steam Roller Grist Mill
and a Planing Mill in the said Village, and
to raise the said sum of money it will be
necessary for the Corporation of the Village of
Bayfield to issue debentures for the 111111 of
Five Thousand Dollars, payable with ititerest
as heminafter provided.

And whereas it will require the sum of two
hundred and fifty dollars to be raised annually
by special rate for the payment of the interest
as also hereinafter mentioned.
And whereas the amount of the whole rate-
able property of the said corporation, irres.
poctivo of any income in the nature of tolls,
interests, dividends. rents or fees from the
said property, and also irrespective of any
income to bo derived from the temporary
investment of the Sinking Fund or any part
thereof according to the last revised asses -
went Roll of the said Corporation, being for
the year one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-nine is the sum ef $83,457 (eighty-
three thousand, four hundred and fifty seven
And whereas there is now no existing debt
of the said corporation of Bayfield,
And whoreaa it is made necessary to appoint
the time and place for taking the votes of the
duly qualified electors and for appointing
Deputy Returning officers to take the votes of
the said electors at the mooting.
Be it therefore enacted by the Corporation
of the Village of Bayfield, in the County of
Huron, Prentice of Ontarb :
1. That it shall be lawnil for the Corponttion
of the Village of Bayfield to raise by way of loan
front any pereon or persons, body or bodied cor-
porate. who may be willing to advance the 'Jame
upon the credit of the debentures hereinafter
tnetitioned; a eun: of money not exceeding in
the aggregate the KIM of Five Thousand Dollars
and cause the seine to be paid into the Treasurer
of the said vinage tor the pet -poet: and with the
object above recited.
II. That it shall be lawful for the said Corm'r.
ation to cause any number of Debentures to be
made for such 4111118 as may be required, not less
than oue hutsdred dollars each, and not exceed-
ing in the aggregate the Bum of Five Thousand
Dollars, and that the said Debentures shall be
sealed with the sera of the Corporation and sign-
ed by the Reeve and Tre,Lsurer thereof.
III. That the Bair: Debentures ehall bear in-
terest at and after the rate of five per centutu per
annum from the day mentioned for this By•Law
to take effect, which interest shall be payable on
the first daYs of January and July in each and
every year, at the office of the Treasurer of the
said Corporation at the Village of Bayfield.
IV. That the said Debentures 0111111 he made
payable at the expiration of tell years from the
date ,mentioned for this 13) .Law to take effect, at
the office of the said Treasurer at Hayfield, and
'shall hal e attached to them coupons for the
payment of interest.
V. That for the purpose of forming a sinking
fund, for the payment of the said Debentures,
an equal annual sum of one hundred and eighty
dollars 'shall. In addition to all other rates, be
raised, levied and collected by special rate upon
all rateable property in the said corporation
during the currency of the Bald Debentures, or
any of them, and for the purpose of pay ing the
interest of the said Debentures, the sum of Two
Hundred and Fifty Laura shall in addition to
all other rates he valved, levied and collected
from all the rateable property of the said Cor-
poration during the currency of the said Deben-
tures otlany of them. •
That property about a quarter of a mite from
the railway station at Clinton, about :S21 acres,
with two-story frame house and orchard, garden,
ornamental trees, barns, etc., bounded on one
side by the River Bayfield, known as that former-
ly oceupied by Major Murray, being part of Lot
40, on the Bayfield Road, gobd clay loam, high
and dry.
Also, the house in Clinton lately occupied by
Mr, liacey, two-story, with attic, large otithouee,
excellent orchard; it stands on two acres, and 18
bounded entirely by four streets.

21, at 2 p.m., at the WAVERLY HOTEL, CLIN-

poration of the village of Bayfield to grant old by
way of bonus to the amount of the said 11110 01

to enable him to establish and for the purpose
of establishing a Steaw Roller Grist Mill and
Planing Mill in the Village of Bey field, Counts tot
Huron, Province of Ontario. Provided neverthe-
less that the said debentures shall not he disposed
of or parted with by the said Corporation until
the said John C. Kalbfleisch shall have first made
a permanent investment in connection with such
Steatn Roller Grist Mill and Planing Mill of not
lees than ten thousand dollars exclusive of the
five thousand dollars hereby authorized to he
granted to him, nor until the said John C. Kalb-
lieisch shall have executed and delivered to the
Corporation of the said Village of Bat field a good
and sufficient bond to be approved of by the said
Corporation in the sum of five thousand dollars
Refixed and liquidated damegee conditioned that
the said Stenon Roller Griot Mill shall be of the
_capacity of fifty barrels per day, and shalt be
kept running and in operation 8111 111 good work-
ing order to that extent for a term of ten years,
and 511101 not be need for anv other purpose than
that of a Stearn Roller Grist 81111 and that the
said flaming Mill shall be of sufficient capacity
for Ole local trade and ehall be kept In working
order and running for ten years ; nor until the
buildings and machinery of Kahl mills are insured
