A. fair amount of business was done
in thaborse market. The wet weather
is keeping things back. During the
wedk'there were shipped from here to
the United States 130 horses, costing
$13,848.50, or averaging $106.52 each.
About 450- butchers: cattle, 200 calves,...
110 sheep and lambs and a few fat
hogs offered at the East End abattoir.
Trade was fairly active, with prides
lower than on Thursday. A few cattle
sold at 410 but not many went at more
than 4ic. Pretty good stock from 3>}e
to a little over 4c. ,There was an active
demand for goo ,ea pee. Common
veals bring more than last week. Com-
mon from $1.25 to $3 each, and good
from $4 to $7 each; extra more. There
was an active demand for mutton.
Nearly all sheep were shorn ; from -$4
to $7.50. Spring lambs from $2 to $6
each. Eat hogs are in fair supply and
