After Dinner League
Thursday, Nov. 14, saw ,the Jun-
ior girls first after dinner volley-
ball game. The game,4with • both
teams evenly matched, edded in
favor of 'Team 2 chalking up 24
points, to the losers' 20 points'. This
4 -point lead was not easily won,
and the players of Team .1 vows
•that -the next time they play Teafir-
2 the glove will be on the other
hand.
The Senior girls' first after din-
ner game was played on Monday,
Team 1 vs. Team 2. This game
was very close throughout, with
both teams trading position of
high scorer from serve to serve.
At the end of the game, Team 1
was proclaimed winner, with 16
points. Team 2, at 15 points was
a close second.
Tuesd'ay's' Senior boy's' basket-
ball game between Team 4 and
Team 1 was decidedly onesided in
the first half, Team 1 having only,
four players. on the floor, could
not hope to beat a full-strength
team, but they did give 'the op -
pc. ition a good battle. At the ena
of the first half, an exhausted four-
m;.n ,team was down 12 points.
The opening of the second half,
Team 1 was at full strength (five
players), as a town member of the
team had arrived. Team 1 now
showed more spirit, but the ef-
fect of the first half was soon ap-
parent, for they began to lag in
their "back -checking" -and .were
slow in breaking from their own
end. The game ended: Team 4.
31 points; Team 1, 20 points.
