Sidney Davison officiated at a double -ring ceremony in Brucefield United Church Saturday, June 8, when marriage vows were exchanged by Marion Jeanette Ross, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Seldon Ross, Bruce - field, and George Stirling Warner, son of Mrs. Warner and the late Percy Warner, Goderich. The church was beautifully decorated with yellow lilies and mauve iris. Mrs. Jean Clirns, Brucefield, sang "0 Perfect Love" and "I Love You Truly." accompanied by the church organist, Mrs.. J R. Murdoch. Given in marriage by her father tbe,,bride wore a floor -length gown of Chantilly lace and net over sat- in, trimmed with sequins and pearls, with matching lace jacket with Peter Pan collar and lily - point sleeves. Her fingertip veil of silk illusion was held by a Jul- iet cap pleated of tulle, sprinkled with sequins and rhinestones, and she' carried a bouquet of pink ros- es on a white Bible. Miss Betty Jean Ross, sister of the bride, as maid of honor, and Miss Annie McGinnis, Galt, as bridesmaids, wore waltz - length gowns of lace and net over taffeta in shades of orchid and yellow, re- spectively, with headdress and gloves to match, carrying bouquets of yellow and mauve chrysanthe- mums. ' Harry Warner was his brother's groomsman. Jimmie Ross, brother of the bride, was ringbearer, and ushers were Lloyd Sowerby, cousin of the groom, and George Ross, brother of the bride. At the reception held in the church parlor, the bride's mother received in a dress of romance blue crepe with white accessor- ies and corsage of pink carnations. She was assisted by the groom's mother, who wore white figured nylon with white accessories, and corsage of yellow carnations. For travelling, the bride donned an orchid duster over a matching figured dress with white accessor- ies and a corsage of pale pink ros- es. The young couple left for a trip through the United States. Upon their return they will reside in Goderich. Church held their monthly meeting at the home of Mrs. Irvin Rock with 12 members present. Mrs. Fred Rose led in the devotional period, with Mrs. William Koehler reading a letter written by Miss Jean Kellerman, missionary in Japan. A contest was conducted by Mrs. Rose.
