last Friday evening.

MISS ALDEA AUBIN
Miss Aldea T. Aubin, 26, who
died in Scott Memorial Hospital on
Wednesday, was a daughter of
Mr, and Mrs. Alex Aubin, of Bruce -
field, and was born at St. Joseph.
Surviving besides her parents
are seven brothers: Patrick, of
White Horse, Yukon; Regis and
John, Seaforth; Orville, Breslau;
Victor, Guelph; Lloyd and Andre,
Brucefield; and four sisters, Mrs.
Una Montague, London; Mrs. A.
Fulford. Clinton; Mrs. V. Meidin-
ger. Zurich,. and Mrs. R. McNichol,
Calgary. -
Resting at the Box Funeral
Home, Seaforth, until Saturday
morning. when Requiem,.High
Mass will be sung at 10 a.m. in
St. Joseph's Church. Clinton, by
Father J. Graham. Interment will
be made in the parish cemetery.
PERCIVAL GRUMMETT
Percival Grummett, 65, died sud-
denly of a heart attack in Bland-
ford Township, lot 9,, con. 10. Ox-
ford County, Wednesday, Dec. 20.
Mr. Grummett was born in Tuck-
ersmith, a son of the late William
Grummett and the former Mar-
garet Izzard, of Goderich Town-
ship, He attended S.S. No. 5, Tuck-
ersmith school, and had farmed all
his life on the homestead in that
township. He was an adherent of
Egmondville United Church.
He was married al Port Stanley
to Elizabeth Corbett. who survives,
together with five sons: William,
George. Joseph, Alfred and Dan-
iel. all of Tuckersmith; one grand-
child. and one brother, Shelston,
of Tuckersmith,
The body was at the G, A. Whit-
ney Funeral Home, Seaforth. Ser-
vice was conducted Sunday at 2
p.m. by Rev. J. Semple, of Eg-
tpondville United Church. Burial
followed in Ylaitlandbank ceme-
tery.
GEORGE COLEMAN
Mr. George Coleman died sud-
denly Wednesday afternoon, Dec.
19, at the home of his son. Anson
Coleman. Stanley Townshp. He
was in his 89th 'year and was born
on the farm where h,e died. He
was the son of the late Francis
Coleman and the late Eliza Jane
Smith. In the year 1898 he mar-
ried E-Iizabeth Turner, who died
in 1902. In 1908 he married Melis-
sa Webster, who died in 1948.
He is survived by one son and
four daughters: Elsie, Mrs. Elgin
McKinley; Mabel, Mrs. Fred Mc-
Clymont; Anson. all of Stanley;
Grace. Mrs, Ross Chapman. Tuck-
ersmith; and Gladys, Mrs. R. J.
Doig. of McKillop. There are 18
grandchildren, 13 great-grandchil-
dren, and two sisters, Dinah, Mrs.
A. E: Elgie, of La Verne, Califor-
nia, and Mary Ann, Mrs. Henry
Ortwein, of Winnipeg, Man.
He lived on the home farm un-
til 1929 when he moved to Eg-
mondville where he was a 'mem-
ber of the session of the United
Church. He was well known as a
cattle drover.
The funeral was held Saturday,
Dec. 22, from the G. A. Whitney.
Funeral Home, Seaforth. The Rev.
Dr. Semple, of Egmondville, and
Rev. T. J. Pitt, of Varna, officiat-
ed. The Egmondville United
Church choir sang one of his fav-
orite hymns. Pallbearers were six
grandsons: Ivan McClymont and
James Chapman, Anson and Robt.

Coleman. The flower -bearers were
grandchildren; Sandra, Grace and
Elsie Doig, Gladys Chapman, Mar-
garet and Joan McClymont, Mrs.
Kenneth Fanson, Jack Coleman
and Robert McClymont.

Bert and Carol, of Tuckersmith,
and Mr. and Mrs. James McEwing
and Kathleen spent Christmas Day
with Mr. and Mrs. John McEwing

Glen Carter and family, Londes-
boro.

per at the home of Mrs. McEwing's

ed a trousseau tea held on Wednes-
day afternoon at the home of Mrs.
Clarence Martin, in honor of her
daughter. Edna. Miss Martin is
the teacher at Harlock school.
Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Roe, Dianne
and Joyce went to New Hamburg
a week ago Wednesday evening to
attend the Christmas concert pre-
sented by Miss Mary Lou Roe and
her pupils.
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Watt and fam-
ily spent the holiday with their
son and daughter-in-law. Mr. and
Mrs. Don Watt and family, Osh-
awa.
The regular meeting of Burns-
Londesboro Y.P.U. was held Sun-
day evening with 50 young people
present. Clinton Ontario Street
and Constance Y.P.U.'s were the
guests. Jane McCool conducted the
sing -song. Harry Lear, president,
was in charge of the business. The
Stewardship and Training Com-
mission, under Gordon Howatt,
conducted the worship service.
Marguerite Lyon and Jane Mc-
Cool sang a duet. A short skit was
presented by Gail Lear, June Man-
ning and Marguerite Lyon. Recre-
ation was in charge of Ken Scott.
Lunch was served and the meet-
ing closed with Taps.
