OBITUARIES
DIESIN MIAMI
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Charters
were informed by wire that a sis-
ter of Mrs. Charters Mrs. Mary
Bruce, had died in Miami, Mani-
toba, on August 22. This is the
third member of Mrs. Charters'
family to have passed away this
yeais a sister and a brother hav-
ing died previously. Sympathy is
extended to Mrs. Charters in her
bereavement.

son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Nichols,
Vancouver, BC.
The bride wore aprincess line
ballet -length gown of white Eng-
• lish lace over nyloni. The lace, bo-
dice was styled with three-quarter
length sleeves and ,a scalloped
neckline. A tiara of seed pearls
and rhinestones held her finger-
tip veil of nylon, and she carried
a cascade of roses and orange
blossoms.
Nancy Ann Glew attended her
sister as maid of honor, wearing
a pink English lace over nylon,
similar to that of the bride's. Her
veil was caught in her headdress
of blush pink roses, and she car-
ried a cascade of yellow mums
and roses.
William Edgar, of Clinton, was
beg man.
Carnations, gladioli and pink and'
white streamers decorated the
bride's home where a reception
was held immediately following
the ceremony. The bride's mother
received the guests in a charcoal
grey chystalette 'wi'th black vel-
vet trim and a corsage of red ros-
es. Assisting were Mrs. John Mil-
ler, Mrs, Janet Andrews, Mrs,
Robert Charters, Miss Betty Simp-
son and Mrs. Edith Marash.
For travelling east, the •,bride
chose a shot copper suit trimmed
with white. The couple will re-
side at the R.CA.F. Station, St.
Sylvestre, Quebec.
Guests attended the wedding.

Owing to the unfavorable weather,
a picnic lunch was served fir -the
council chamber of the Town 'Hall.
Due to the absence of the presi-
dent, Mrs. Frank Walters, thesfirst
vice-president took charge of the
business period. Mrs. F. Kirkby
was appointed delegate to attend
a Women's Institute meetings! at

Mr. Henry Weitersen received
word that his nephew, Mr. John
Weitersen, of Detroit, had died 'on
Thursday, Augst 23. He was born
on the 10th of McKillop, the son -of
the late Mr. and Mrs. John Weiter-
sen.

Mrs. Durant, of Rostack, were visi-
tors at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
