Injured in Fall FronisCar
Douglat Wey, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Campbell Wey, received
scrapes and bruises on ,Saturday
when he accidentally fell from his
father's car while returning hope
from Walton. He was taken to
Scott - Memorial Hospital, Sea -
forth, where X-rays Were taken,
but returned 'home on Sunday
when no serious injuries could be
found.

bride-to-be early in August 7 was
held at the home of" Mrs. Torrance
Dundas on Thursday evening, July
21. Mrs. Don McNall and Mrs.
Frank -Kirkby were in charge of
the evening's entertainment, and
presentations took place. on the
front laWn.
The veranda was beautifully
decorated with pink and -,white
streamers -,and bouquets of
flowers.Following a sing -song,
led by Mrs: 'Herb Travis, with
Mrs. Harvey Brown at the piano,
a short program was "presented;
which included: vocal solos by
Mrs. Herb Travis and Ruth Anne
Ennis; readings by Mrs. 'Wilmer
Cuthill and trumpet solos by Aud-
rey Hackwell.
The guest of honor was called
to the platform and sent to search
for hidden gifts in the house; af-
ter which she was seated in a dec-
orated chair Shd presented with
many. beautiful gifts placed in a
decorated wagon,- and drawn by
a niece and nephew of the bride,
Karen:and Neil McDonald.
• Miss Stevens thanked the ladies
for the lovely gifts and invited
them to her home to,see her trous-
seau. A delicious lunch was serv-
ed by the hostess, assisted by Mrs.
D. McNall, Mrs. F. Kirkby, Mrs.
F. Patterson and Mrs. D. Ennis,
and four girls: Audrey Hackwell,
Joan Talbot, Isobel Lydiatt- and

dayin Scott Memorial Hospitalsfol-
loWing a two-year illness.
He was born at Cranbrook, son
of the late Mr. and Mrs. Adam
Mackay. Irl his early life he was
moulder at The Robert Bell En-
gine & Thresher Co. here. Mr.
Mackay was a member of the
Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his widow, the
former Myrtle Trott; a son, Don-
ald Mackay, Listowel; three
4IAughters, Mrs. Olga Silman, To-
ronto; -Mtg. Murray Smith, Seb-
ringville, and Mrs. Helen McCar-
thy, Toronto; two brothers, Mel-
vin Mackay, Niagara Falls, Ont.,

two sisters, Mrs. James E. 'Willis,
Seaforth, and MIA. Russell Walter,

He was predeceased- by his son,
Jack, who we's killed in action in
