4-11 Club member with the
highest score in 4-11 Beef Calf
Club work.
Lois Webster, R.R. 2, Auburn,
a member of the Dungannon 4-
11 Beef Calf Club, with a score
of 923 points out of a possible
1,000 won the Warden's Novice
trophy, as donated and pres-
ented by the warden of Huron
County, W. J. Dale, Hullett
Township, to the novice mem-
ber obtaining the highest stand-
ing on "basis of awards" in the
county.
Mary Dennis, R.R. 1, Walton,
a member of the Brussels 4-11
Beef Calf Club with a score of
929, out of a possible 1.000, won
the Harvey C. Johnston trophy,
donated and presented by Har-
vey

ward, donated by the Blyth and
Auburn branches, for obtaining
the highest stnading in 4-11
Dairy Calf Club work.
Anne Todd, R.R. 2, Lucknow,
a member of the Lucknow 4-H
Beef Calf Club, was awarded
the Senator Golding junior
showmanship trophy, donated
by Senator W. 11. Golding, Sea -
forth, as the grand champion
showman in 4-11 Beef Calf
Clubs in the county. She com-
peted for this title at the 4-11
Beef Cattle Club championship
show at the Seaforth Fall Fair
in September. The trophy was
presented by A. Y. McLean,
Seaforth.
A member of the Blyth 4-11
Dairy Calf Club, Nancy Carter,
R.R. 1, Wingham, won the A.
Y. McLean trophy as donated
and presented by A. Y. McLean,
Seaforth, to the grand champion
showman in 4-H Dairy Calf
Clubs. This title was won at
the championship show at the
Blyth Fall Fair.
Joanne McCullough, R.R. 3,
Clinton, a member of the Bay-
field 4-H Beef Cattle Club, was
presented by Heber J. L. Eedy,
Dungannon, and George Ken-
nedy, Lucknow, with the Hur-
on Hereford Association Past
President's trophy for show-
ing the champion Hereford calf
at the County Championship 4-
H Beef Calf Club show in 1954.
Award Savauge Trophy
Harmon Brodhagen, R.R. 2,
Brussels, of the Brussels 4-H
Swine Club, won the Savauge
trophy as donated and present-
ed by Ross Savauge, Seaforth.
He had the champion pair of
swine club gilts in the Coun-
ties of Huron and Bruce, com-
peted for at the 4-H Swine Club
championship show at the Sea -
forth Fall Fair.
A member of the Exeter 4-11
Grain Club, Norman Hyde, R.R.
1, Hensall, received the Harold
Jackson trophy, donated by Mr.
Jackson, Seaforth auctioneer,
for the championship sample of
oats exhibited by a 4-H Grain
Club member. This was deter-
mined at the 4 - H grain
championship show, Seaforth
Fall Fair.
Livestock trophies and minia-
tures went to 19540- livestock
judging . competition winners,
Bill Taylor, R.R. 1, Belgrave,
who was top scorer in the dairy
section; Louis Nigh, R.R. 4, Sea -
forth, highest in the swine sec-
tion; Larry Wheatley, R.R. 1,
Dublin, highest contestant in
coopetition.
The G. W. Montgomery cash
award donated and presented
by G. W. Montgomery, Huron
County agricultural representa-
tive, was won by Harmon Brod-

member of the Huron County
1954 Junior Fanner Royal Ag-
ricultural Winter Fair judging
team, was . awarded the F. K.
Morrow scholarship, which won
him tuition and fees for -a two-
year course in agriculture at
the college of his choice in On-
tario. He had the highest ag-
gregate score in those entered
for the scholarship.

Calf Club leader and George
Kennedy, Lucknow 4-11 Beef
Calf Club leader, were present-
ed by Mr. Manning with club
leaders' certificates for five
years' voluntary service as 4-11
Club leaders.
G. W. Montgomery presented
Lorne Ballantyne; Exeter, and
John McGavin, Walton, with
cheques for $20 each on behalf
of the North and South Huron
Plowmen's Association. The
two members were a Huron
County team at the Inetrnation-
al Plowing Match.
Presentations were also made
from the Ontario Hereford As-
sociation, The Ontario Short -
'horn Club, the Ontario Aber-
deen Angus Association, the
Huron Holstein Club, The Ban-
ner County Ayrshire Club, the
Ontario Jersey Club, the Guer-
nsey Cattle Breeders' Associa-
