headdress of seed pearls, and she

Cromarty Presbyterian Church, of-
ficiated at the double -ring cere-
mony in which Celia Ione Norris,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry
Norris, Cromarty, became t h e

Seaforth, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nor-
man Hubert, also of Seaforth.
Mrs. Ray Norris, of Humber
Summitt, played traditional wed-
ding music, and the bride was giv-
en in marriage by her father.
The bride was gowned in ivory
satin with inserts of Chantilly lace,
A coronet of pearls held her finger-
tip double ubl net and she car-
ried a white Bible crested with
crimson roses.
Mrs. Donald McLeod, sister of
the bride, as matron of honor, and:
Mrs. Stewart Butt, Seaforth. as
bridesmaid, were similarly gowned
in pastel shades and carried har-
monizing bouquets. Ruth Davis
was flower girl in yellow and car-
ried e colonial bouquet in harmon-
izing tones. Donald Norris, Ailsa
Craig, was ring -bearer.
Gilbert Hubert, Seaforth, was
groomsman for his brother, and
Robert Norris ushered guests.
For a wedding trip the bride
donned a red and white nylon en-
semble with white accessories and
corsage of red roses. Mr. and Mrs.
Hubert will reside in Seaforth.

Barbara Sue Dale, daughter., of
Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Dale, Seaforth,
was married in Streetsvill on Sat-
urday evening, July 24, to Mr. Car-
man Hunter Whaley, Streetsville,
son of Mrs. Laverne Whaley,
Streetsville, and the late,' Mr.
Whaley. Rev. Mr. Province, of the
Anglican Church, officiated.
The bride wore a ballerina -length
dress of white lace over pleated
tulle. Her fitted bodice had a tiny
standup collar, and she wore a
fingertip veil. Her flowers were
red roses. Mrs. Charles Case, of
Streetsville, the bride's sister, as
matron of honor, wore an ankle -
length dress of pink net with a
three -tiered skirt. She wore a
matching •headdress, and her flow-
ers were tangerine roses. Mr.
Charles Case was best man.
A wedding dinner was served at
the home of the bride's sister and
brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Chas.
Case, Streetsville. Helping to
serve were Misses Elaine Dale
Seaforth; Carol Hunter, Streets
ville, and Betty Myers, Brampton
Delphiniums, roses and pink
streamers were used to decorat
the home.

FUNERAL OF JAMES LOVE
The Rev. W. E. Milroy, of Eg-
mondville United Church, conduct-
ed services at the Whitney Funeral
Home for James Love, R.R. 4, Sea -
forth, who died in hospital here
following a truck -car collision
south of Seaforth.
The services were largely at-
tended. Burial was in Maitland -
bank cemetery. Pallbearers were
Sidney Gemmell, William Taylor,
Andrew Houston, John McLachlan,
Earl Papple and John McKay.
DIES IN SASKATCHEWAN
Merrill Murry Harvey, 1449
Queen St., Regina, well known
farmer of the Adams district, Sas-
katchewan, died iu a Regina hos-
pital Thursday. Funeral services
were held in Speers chapel Satur-
day at 1:30 p.m., with Rev. H. Cun-
ningham officiating. Burial was in
Riverside Memorial Park.
Mr. Harvey was born at Pease.
Sask., and married Francis Hurd
in 1923. Surviving are the widow,
two daughters, Margaret and Shir-
ley, five sons, Glen, Donald, Hugh,
Mervyn and John• all at home, his
mother, Mrs. C. Harvey, 2273 Gar-
net St., three sisters, Mrs. Bertha
Troup„ Pense, Agnes and Della,
2273 Garnet St,
'Mr. Harvey was predeceased by
his father about 30 years ago, and
took over the management of
"Hillsgreen", the old homestead at
Pense, later going to the Adams
district.
MRS. NORMAN HARVEY
Mrs. Norman Harvey, of Monk -
ton, died in Scott Memorial Hospi=-
tal here on July.26. She was the
second victim of an accident on
the Kippen road on July 19. She

hicles in collision a week ago.
She was the former Mary Ellen
Ward, daughter of Mr, and Mrs.
John T. Ward. She was born at
lot 25, concession 12, Logan Town-
ship, and lived there until 1923
when she moved to Monkton after
marrying Norman Harvey.
Mrs. Harvey was a member of
the Presbyterian Church, where
she taught Sunday School and
played the organ. She was a mem-
ber of Rebekah Lodge 345, Monk -
ton, and was a Grand Noble in
1951.
She is survived by her husband;
a son, Robert, at home; a daugh-
ter, M. Alfred Scholl, Hensall;
her other. Mrs. Emma Ward,
Monk n; three brothers, Redge,
Monkton; Everitt, Newry; Harold,
R.R. 2, Monkton; ,five sisters, Mrs.
L. M. Hood, Stratford; Mrs.'Tena
Hulley, Md'nkton; Mrs. Milton
Ronnenberg, Monkton; Mrs. Wil-
fred Ronnenberg, Hamilton; Mrs.

DEATH OF WILLIAM DORSEY
William Dorsey. for many years
a well-known Hibbert Township
farmer. and last surviving member
of a family of eight, died in Lon-
don
ondon on Wednesday, August 4, in
his 83rd year.
Mr. Dorsey, who lived all his life
on his farm east. of St. Columban
on the Huron Road, attended
school at St. Columban. He was
a member of St. Columban Roman
Catholic Church. the Holy Name
Society and the League of the Sac-
red Heart.
His illness had extended over
several years, and for the past 18
months he had been a patient at
St. Mary's Hospital. London. He
was predeceased by his wife, the
former Ellen 'Devereaux, in Febru-
ary, 1953.
Funeral services will be held
from the W. J. Cleary funeral
home, Seaforth, on Friday at 9:30
a.m., to St. Columban Church,
where Requiem High Mass will be
sung by Rev. Father McCowell.
Interment will follow in St. Colum -
ban cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joe Staple-
ton, James Devereaux, Ted Melady,
Joseph Roach, James Krausikopf
and D. J. Cronin.

Seaforth Baby Beef Calf Club
The regular meeting of the Sea -
forth Baby Beef Calf Club was
held in, Guelph on the O.A.C. cam-
pus. The Calf Club judged three
classes of beef cattle and gave rea-
sons on two. Members were then
shown the O.A.C. beef sires.
The club had dinner in the din-
ing hall and Dr. J. O. Mac3.actilan
gave a welcome speech. At one
o'clock the club was shown a live-
stock show and also a farm mach-
inery safety demonstration. Tours
included hydro s_, tation, dairy
barn and -field aha • ry plots.
