Hullett Council Holds
Regular Monthly Meeting
The regular monthly meeting of
Hullett Township Council was held
Monday in the Community Hall,
Londesboro, at 8:30 p.m. The reeve
and all •members of the council
were present.
At this time two of the town-
ship's insurance policies came up
for 'discussion. Moved by W. R.
Jewitt and G. Brown: That we re-
new our Workmen's Compensation
policy with the Frank Cowan ag-
ency (Gorden Jewel, agent) ; also
our non -ownership auto insurance
with the Frank Cowan agency
(Bernard Hall, agent).'
Brown and Jewitt: That we pay
$15membership fees to the Huron
County Municipal Officials' Associ-
ation. Leiper and Hesk: That we
pay our membership fee of $25 to
Scott Memorial Hospital, Seaforth..
Brown and Jewitt: As we have re-
ceived a request signed by all the
same ratepayers, we rescind Mo-
tion 5 of October 5.
At this time the Engineer's re-
port on the Hunking Municipal
Drain, which was filed in the
clerk's office on April 28, was plac-
ed before council for consideration.
Leiper and Jewitt: That we 'accept
the report of Engineer B. M. Ross
on the Hunking Municipal Drain
and read the report of the same on
the 17th day of May at 9 p.m.
Leiper and Jewitt; That we make
a grant of $500 to the Hullett
Township Community Hall Board.
Brown and Hesk: That all accounts
as approver be paid. •
Hesk and Jewitt: That the coun-
eil do now adJourn to nseet again.
June 7 at 8 p.m.
Accounts passed were: Relief,
$89.77; hospitalization, $36; adver-
tising, $12.84; membership fees,
$40; salaries, $125; insurance,
$171.67; poultry killed, $15; grants,
$500; roads, $762.75.
Receive Entries For Fair
Entries for the Western Ontario
Trade Fair are fast approaching
the 250 entry mark, and with two
weeks left to go (the two most im-
portant ones), the figure may well
surpass that mark. -Blyth Stan-

Have Moved
Mr. and Mrs. Sydney Ramer, of
the Bronson Line South, have mov-
ed their effects onto the farm home
recently purchased from the Jack
Merner, Babylon Line, ' while
Rev. and Mrs. Albert Martin have
moved from the farm home of Mr.
Lorne Gingerich, Babylon Line, on-
to the farm vacated by the Ranier

Plant Trees in Stephen
Several hundred trees were plant-
ed on four acres of land on the
farm, of Mr. Alonzo McCann, to
Stephen Township on 'Monday af-
ternoon,sponsored by the Aux
Sable River Construction Author-
ity. It was tree planting day for
the school of Stephen Township
and 10 out of the 12 sahools took

ed in Detroit' by airplane from Van-
couver to spend 10 days with his
