Stafa United church
as 'an addition to the cemetery
which lies between it and the
Drake farm home, with the Moun-
tain a little farther distant to the
south. This graveyard was opened'
by 1862, as the first grave with a
marker bears the name of Mary;
infant daughter of John R. and
Mary Drake, who died February 14,
1862. But it is believed that the
grounds were fenced earlier and
possibly a few were buried near
the old fence without markers.
Since 1925 the cemetery has been
connected with the United Church.
It is known now as Staffs Union
Cemetery, and today, United, Pres-
byterians and Anglicans all bury
here.
From this hill, with the gully be-
low, is viewed a beautiful 'land-
scape scene stretching out toward
the western horizon. Many pio-
neers and their descendants in the
comm"unity,-and several native born
sons and daughters from farther
afield, have chosen this spot as
their -Last resting place, "until the
day break and the shadows flee
away." •
Of this part of Hibbert Township;
the review of which has now been
completed, many can say with the
.hymn writer, J. R. Wreford:
"Our father's septilchres • are here,
And here our kindred dwell;
Our children too: how should we
love
Another land so well?"

GREAT NEWSfor women! Sweaters that won't shrink! But this
is only one of the blessings that "Orlon"* will bring to sweaters.
They'll have kitten -soft touch, will hold their shape better and
launder so easily. "Orlon" will bring new, modern -living features
to other garments, too -- warmth without weight in dresses, skirt
pleats that stay in through many wearings, quick wrinkle -shedding
in cosy winter suits.

PAGEANT RED, Castle Grey, Herald Yellow! These are just
dude of the nine fashionable rich shades now available in the
Coronation Colors of C -I -L's "Speed -Easy Satin". This is the scrub-
bable latex wall paint that goes 'bn in a jiffy with brush or roller,
has no "painty" odor, and dries itt just 30 minutes to a smooth,

of the younger crowd. But Old Saint
Nick's coming means something
more than candy. canes and bulging
stockings to the older crowd, unfortunately. With this laughing
old gent comes Winter's winds, Christmas cold, and the season's
snows. And this means, for the older crowd who drive cars,
slippery roads, poorer visibility and generally dangerous driving
conditions. Motorists' hazards can be minimized and the older
crowd can help each other by properly conditioning their cars
and applying that extra driving attention needed in Winter.
