This Week At the- Seaforth High School
By KEN LARONE
-"Mr, Plum, steel, staff and fellow The first one up was Petey
:students,' were the six most con Lane, who,, with the aid of Leslie
anon words spoken Thursday and McSpadden, considered that some
Friday. These, along with other people attending S•D.H.S. wart, an -
'various statements, brought' to a imale and had quite .a time con -
climax the electioneerlhg of the templating Mr. k'lu psteel.
195253 Students' 'Council, At the
itirst of the week posters were flash-
ed up with such slogans as: "Don't
Vote Joe, Go 'Moe!" ,
These, along with vehicle eam-
paigning, played a big role in the
race. Hint
Earlier this. week "student run-
ners" campaigned by pony express,
jeep, automobile, walking "Johns"
:and aeraplahe• On ;Wednesday the
Pay -of came when the candidates
struggled through their speeches.

Challenger number two was Ann
Litowski, Bud Zeigler, Jim Flanni-
gan and .Gord Rowland, Ann's cam-
paign managers, showered by Nia-
gara Fella, gave Ann a wet recep-
tion. The third and last culprit
gabbing for presidentsiclp was Doug
Stewart. Sandy, preaching for"
Doug, left everyone wi4th a hearty
clap,
The candidates for secretary and
treasurer each gave their little
promise before the question of the
big vote was left with us.
Elections aren't the only event
holding the spotlight this, week.
Fall Fair work has had major im-
portance. Excellent prizes have
been given by the Seaforth Fall

While most students were taking
it soft in tenth periods this week,
.about 30 boys were working their
hardest. Yes, you guessed it; it
was the gridiron squad getting in-
to full swing. Bruises were felt 'by
some, but most survived; if not,
their attendance to .practice was
.stopped.
Last week, when 1951-52 class-
room marks were posted, a mistake
was made in Grade X marks, They
.should have read as follows: 1st,
Ruth Hemingway, 88.4; and, Scott
Powell, 87.4; 3rd, Marie Hunt, 87.0.
Question of the week: How did
Mr. McKillop get persuaded to en-
ter the men's beauty contest?
P..S.-We have just been inform-
ed Mr. Plumsteel hasn't false teeth.
