Isere we've jaltat bggt]t and tied one with Goderloh and beat 'Clinton I1-0. It you thinly the trip down was noisy, you should/ have heard it on the way back -with everyone rejoicing. Eric .MacMil- lan scored a touchdown in the first few moments of the game. To- wards the end of the first quarter Don Dale made a spectacular run of about thirty yards, passed to Rennie and from there receiving the ball once again scored the sec- ond touchdown. Toby then made a convert for Seaforth. The entire 11 points were made in the first quarter, from then it was a regu- bir battle to keep it a no-scor game for Clinton. Three cheers fo "Fog"' right back in there fighting aa hard as ever. Dale took quite a beating, but nevertheless was the hero of the game. The cheerleaders deserve my humble apologies. I certainly had every intention to congratulate you on your fine performance last game, By this time everyone has no doubt noticed that something new has been added by way of our cheering Sec tion. Really something, eh? Bob Caldwell and John Whyte are quite ouistanfling in their white pants and sweaters with school crests. We even had a mascot, Patsy's black Spaniel "Sambo," all decked out in red, black and 'yellow rib- bons, for the Clinton game. The next game is Seaforth versus Wingham, at Wingham, Wednes- day, Oct. 17. Seaforth line-up is as follows; First. Team: Becheiy, cen- tre; liressei and Ducharme, in - tittles; Eyre and Flannigan, mid- dle ; Maker and Hubert, ends; Dale, /lying wing; Eric MacMillan, Ren- nie and Stewart, half backs; Jac- obi. quarter -back; alternates, Row- land, Sills, Sandy MacMillan, Muir, La rone, Horton, Riley and Scott. Friday's assembly was different, unusual and interesting by way of entertainment. Bud Ziegler alias the "Mysterious Mister Z," put on a greatshow for us. As well as his old tricks, he has acquired a few rather startling new additions. For instance, the one where he took an ordinary length of thread, wound it about his tongue, then shuffled. several very sharp razor blades about his mouth, then slowly with- drew the thread which was now strung with the blades. The talent School News Most of the boys and , girls of Seaforth Public School will • not have an opportunity of seeing the Princess and the Duke in person, but they at least enjoy their pic- tures adorning the walls of all the classrooms and listening to a few of the broadcasts. We are having a sports day Thursday or Friday, if the weather is suitable. We already have fancy ribbons for winners, and special r tags and points for everyone en- tering. This being Fire Prevention Week we have had'several fire drills to date. Our objective: "Everyone out—safe and sound." committee is on the lookout for just such hidden talent, so if they approach you, please don't refuse. The results of the estiay contest, sponsored by the Lions Club, are as follows: Doug Stewart, first prize; Bernice Dining, second; Eleanor McCartney, third; Diane Wallace, fourth; Lorraine Smith, fifth. Prize-winning essay goes to Toronto to be judged again with the others sent in. Question of the week: Sandy, why the pause for repairs in the third quarter? - WALTON so—ue air Mr. and Mrs. E. D.
