Seaforth and Brucefield fire bri-
gades were called to extinguish an
apartment fire over Hugh Berry's
grocery store, Brucefield, Monday
morning, occupied by Mrs. R. Daw-
son. Mrs. Dawson had gone over
to a neighbors to help her an&dur-
ing her absence her coal oil stove
exploded. Damage was sight,
mostly by smoke and water. The
pantry woodwork and curtains
were burned and damage to the
store was by water running drown.
The other two apartments' were no;
damaged.
Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Drysdale and
Jerry are vacationing to Colorado
and through the States.

was held in the Lions Park, Sea -
forth, on Saturday afternoon, Aug.
21. About 100 members were pre-
sent, some coming ,,from Detroit
and Marlette, Mich.; Pilot Mound.

Thomas Robinson, of eaforth,
read an item from The Huron Ex-
positor printed in 1878 of the fun-
eral of the late Ralph Stephenson.
