Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Commercial hotel, Seaforth, where Mrs. Eckert received in a pale blue printed frock with gar- dente ardenia corsage, and the bridegroom's mother wore a blue printed gown and also wore a corsage of gardenias. Later Mr. and Mrs. Ennett left ' for Niagara Falls and Northern Ontario., The couple will reside in Sarnia. Guests were present from Detroit, Dearborn, Toronto, Sarnia, London, Ridgetown and Dublin. Died in Toronto.—Alex S. Murdie, 43, druggist, died suddenly in Toron- to Saturday night while at work in his store. He was, born a.t Seaforth, the son of Me Wm. Murdie and the late Mrs. Murdie, and lived for sev- eral years at Lucknow and attended Wingham High School, Surviving are his widow, the former. Mable L. Death of Mr. George Murray. -- Mr. George Murray, 87, who passed away in Brandon, May 17, was bora in Har- purhey May 8, 1861, where he lived till going to Brandon in 1903. He married Augusta McNeil in Grimsby, Ont., on April 15, 1891. Surviving are his wife, one son, Neil, in Edmonton, a grandson, and his sister, Hattie, who had made her home with therm for the past eight years. A. daughter passed away in 1906. He had been confined to bed for five months. Meeting. ; A joint meeting of the Sen- ior W.M.S. and the Barbara Kirkman Auxiliary of First Presbyterian Church was held on. Tuesday evening. Mrs. J. E. Daley, the president of the Bar- bara Kirkman Auxiliary,opened the meeting. A short memorial service was held for Mrs. Reg -.'Kerslake, who had been a most efficient and eeloY ed member of the Auxiliary, consist- dng-of the reading of the 23rd Psalm by Mrs. H. E. Smith and prayer by Mrs. Harry R. Scott, followed by a few minutes of silence. Each societl• conducted its own business session, The principal item on the program was the report given by the delegate, Mrs. J. B. Russell, to the Synodical annual meeting of the Women's Mis- sionary Society of the Presbyterian Church,held in Chatham in May. Mrs. Russell's report was most interesting and instructive. She told of the mis- sionaries and representatives of the church that were in attendance, the highlights of their addresses, the helpful suggestions for the work of the societies, as well•as the executive ability of those in charge of the meet- ings. Hamilton Presbytery ranks highest in per capita giving, and Hur- on comes second for the past year. Mrs. J. Parkins, of the Senior Soci- ty, gave the Scripture reading, and Mrs. Wm. Freeman the .prayer which was written by Mrs. D. Ritchie. A pleasing feature of the program was a quartette by Mrs. J. A. Munn, Mrs. A. Kerr, Mrs. E. Geddes and Mrs. E. Butts. Mrs. Robert Eberhart, of the Senior Society, graciously expresseyl the appreciation and thanks of the women of the Missionary Societies to Mrs. R. H. Williams, for her willing and efficient work during her stay in Seaforth, and also wishing for her every happiness and success in the new field in which she and Mr., Wil- liams are about to work, Mrs. Daley, of the Auxiliary, presented Mrs. Wil- liams with a personal gift from the two societies. The meeting opened with the president, Mrs. McLellan, in the chair, by sing- ing Hymn 1.48 and the president lead- ing in prayer. Mrs. McGregor con- ducted the worship service from the Missionary Monthly, and Mrs. Weber read a poem, "Lilac Time," Follow- ing the business period Mrs. Forbes took the topic, "I Am a Part of All I Have Met." The W.M.S. vice-presi- dent then took over the devotional part of the meeting. Mrs. Clemente gavekan article on Christian Steward- ship and Mrs. Keyes on Temperance. Mrs. Ed. Hopes took the topic from the study book, "The Book That Men Died For." Following the meeting Mrs. E. Stevenson conducted a con- test and lunch was served by Group 1. Mrs. Hel- mar Snell, captain of Circle 1, took charge of the second part of the, meeting and Ftyinn 116 was sung, af- ter which Mrs. E. C. Chamberlain led in prayer.
