Basketball
Yep! The Juniors are still winners.
Their latest victim was Clinton High
School, the longtime arch -enemy of
S.H.S. Seaforth scored 33 points to
the Clinton's 20 to win. This marked
the first time In about three seasons
that Seaforth has won at Clinton, if
memory serves me correctly. The girls'
team managed to break a winning
streak by losing to the Clinton girls,
The third game took place at the
High School Friday night, between
the Main Street Mice (now who..wquld
have given them a name like that!)
and a sort of senior team. For some
unknown reason, the Mice wop 58-30.
'Nuff said. To go ahead and gay that
the town team used only six players
would make things seem worse than
they were.
Tuesday was talent morning, in-
stead of Friday this time, for the sim-
ple reason that on Friday the talent
wasn't there, to wit, Wilma McLean.
When she was finally corralled Tues-
day morning, she played Stardustl
Serenade, and as an encore gave a
masterful rendition of the "Too Foot
Polka."

Questions of the Week
1. What did Maiaie think she was
doing when she put on; her coat and
hat to go home after only four per-
iods of school, at 11.30 a.m.?
2. 'Why did the Main Street Mice
bring their mascot, of tie same name,
to school Friday night—or did they?

."You are going to hear a lot about
hydro in the days ahead," continued
Mr. Oliver, "for the Government is
very 'vulnerable on that point. Mr.
Tuckey (the candidate) wasright
when he said that the Drew regime—
and it alone -was responsible for to-
day's shortage, of power."
Frank Fingland, of Clinton, was
chairman of the meeting. Each can-
didate was allowed five minutes to
address the delegates though neither
took their full time in presenting'
their appeals. Dr. W. J. Shaw, of
Clinton, introduced las one sof the
grand old Liberals in Canada, also
spoke briefly. W. C. Woodpp Ontario
Liberal organizer,' recently appointed
to that post, also spoke. He intends
to remain in the riding until the elec-
tion is over.'
Other speakers were W. H. Gold-
ing, M.P., Huron -Perth., who predicted
a strenuous campaign, and Robert
McCubbin, M.P., West Middlesex.

Seaforth defeated Centralia Airport
9-8 in an Intermediate. O.H.A. contest
played in Exeter Monday evening.
The high -scoring clash was a rugged.
fixture from the start, McFadden col-
lecting three goals, and Roberts and
Kennedy banging in two each being
the high scorers on the Seaforth team.
Rhude and McNab, both garnering
two, were best for the lasing Airport
sextet.

IN THE REALM OF SPORTS
The Seaforth Midgets defeated
Blyth on Saturday night by a score
of 6-2. The local team did not play
the same brand of hockey that de-
fea('ed Blyth the first times, whether it
was over -confidence or not, we are
not sure, but it certainly wasn't the
best they can play.
Some times a team from a town
think they can go out and walk over
a smaller place, but often get fooled.
When a team thinks they can defeat
-the other one, that is the time they
put themselves in a precarious posi-
tion. Over -confidence and cockiness
often lead to downfall, •and we would
suggest to the, local Midget team that
they go out and play hockey every
game .. , don't relax just because you

Now that it is near carnival time,
according to many papers, we have
been wondering if any Seaforth so-
ciety has been contemplating sponsor-
ing such an event here. How about
highlighting the program with a race
between officials of Seaforth and
neighboring townships? It would be
grand sport and would prove that;
