'Hibbert Bible Society held their an-
nual meeting in Staffa Church Sun-
day evening, with the president, Rev.
Mr. McWilliams, presiding. In the
absence of the secretary -treasurer,
Miss Alien Crawford, W.' C. Worden
was appointed secretary for the eve-
ning. Mr. McWilliam read the Scrip-
ture, and Rev. Mr. Daynard offered
prayer. The treasurer's report show-
ed $106.50 collected and sent to `the
Bible Society in Toronto. Election
of officers took plaice, with W. C.
Worden named president, and Miss
Agnes Hocking secretary -treasurer.
Staffa Community School are pre-
paring a Christmas cantata to be
presented in Staffa Church Dec. 23.
Everyone is invited and each person
is asked to bring a gift for a child,
wrapped, with the name of the gift

py in the fact that Reg, will be sen-
ior accountant at his new position.
Reg. has been a great booster of
sport since coming to ,Seaforth about
four years ago, and has been treas-
urer for the Seaforth Athletic Assoc-
iation.
The Curling Club held their meet-
ing on Tuesday night in the Town
Hall with a large number of interest-
ed curlers on hand. The election of
officers took place, with the following
being elected for the year 1947-48:
President, Jim Stewart; vice-presi-
dent, Jim Slattery; secretary -treasur-
er, Charles Barber; executive, Dr. J.
A. Munn, Wm, Teall, J. E. Keating,
M. E. Clarke, D. H. Wilson and Bill
Duncan.
A plan is being formed for the win-
ter months whereby two games will
be played every Wednesday night in,
competition. There will be challenge
games between groups. and it has
been suggested that at the end of
the season a first and second prize
be given to the winning rinks. There
will he curling in the afternoons for
anyone wishing to do so, The Curl-

i;ing Club will welcome new members 1
"desiring to join the club this season.'
We wish your club all the best in'll
curling.
The executive committee of the
O.H.A. o'fi Saturday arranged group-
ings for five series-Senlor, Inter-
mediate 'A' and 'B', and Junior 'B'
and 'C', a.nd dealt with requests for
player transfers. Seaforth is in
Group 6, which also includes Olin -
ton, Clinton R.C.A,F. Radio Scholl,
Mitchell, Centralia. R,C.A.F. Station,
and Goderich 13'inssmen (Intermediate
'A'). Moe Elliott, Clinton, is con-
vener.
