Death of Daniel Hughes.—The death
occurred in Wilkie, Sask., on Wednes-
day, July 30, of Daniel Hughes, in his
Dist year, A former' resident of this
district and 'a'n uncle of Mrs. J. J.
Cleary, Seaforth, Mrs,, Hughes• died
atter . an illness of about six weeks.
He was unmarried. Born February
19, 1866, Ire was raised in McKillop
Township and attended St. Columbian
Church. He was the son of the late
John Hughes and Joanna Dagen
Hu Rhes of near Beechwood. In 1906
he went west, living t'or a number of
years in I'errobert. Saskatchewan,
later • moving to Wilkie. where he
lived until ' his., final illness. Mr.
Hughes was the last member of a
family of ten, four sisters and six
brothers. He was a ,member of the
Holy Name Society and other or-
ganizations. He is survived by tour
ureses, of whom two are Mrs. John.
Flannery, Sr., formerly of Seaforth,
and now of Guelph, and Mrs,. .1, J.
Cleary, Seaforth. The remains will
arrive in Seaforth at noon on Friday
and the funeral will be hold Saturday'
morning from the' home of Mr. and
Mrs. Cleary to St. Tames' 'Church,
with interment in .St. Columban ceme-
tery. , •
