To Hold Closing 'Meeting.—The W.
A. of St. Thomas' ClLurch .will hold
its closing meeting of the season in
the Parish Hall on , Tuesday, June 3,
at 3 p.m. Afternoon tea will be serv-
ed following the business session, and
it is hoped that all Members can
arrange to be present.
Death of Mrs. John Quinlan.—The
death occurred .of Mrs. John Quinlan
at the 'home of her daughter, Mrs.
John Cronin, Hilbert Township, fol-
lowing a prolonged illness. She was
formerly Miss Catharine Marcella
Keeler, a native of Seaforth, and was
in her 44th year. She is 'survived by
her father, b.illiam Keeler, Hibbert;
her husband, one , daughter (Margax-
et). Mrs, John Cronin, Hibbert; one
son, James Quinlan,'. Hamilton, and
two grandchildren. The funeral was
held. from her late residence in Eg-
mondville td St. James' Church, Sea -
forth, on Thursday morning. Rev.
Father T. P. Hussey officiated at the
Requiem,' Mass and at the graveside
service. Mrs..Margaret Devereaux
presided at thorgan. The pallbear-
ers were Angus Kennedy, James Mc-
Quaid, Auguste Ducharme, Michael.
Murray, Thomas Hicknell and Joseph
Lowland. Interment took place in
St. James' Cemetery, Seaforth.

at the home of the bride's parents,

guests in a frock of dusty rose silk,
black :accessories, and wore 'a cor-
sage of white roses, For travelling'
the bride, changed to a yellow gabar-
dine -suit, black accessories and wore
a • corsage of roses. After a trip to
New York, they •• will reside in To-
ronto.

Mae Lane Auxiliary Meets. — The
1 vening Auxiliary of Northside Unit-
ed Church met Tuesday evening with
Mrs. B. 'F. Christie presiding. Miss
Vera Mole opened the meeting by
reading a poem, "I Wonder Why,"
After singing "In Christ There is No
East Nor West," Miss Laura Mole
led in. prayer. Mrs. P. B. Moffat, act-
ing.secretary, read the minutes of the
April meeting. Interesting reports,
were given of the Huron Presbyterial
meeting held at Exeter on April 24,
by two delegates,. Mrs. N. Knight
(morning) and Mrs. Clifford Broad -
foot (afternoon). Mrs. Knight's re-
port was read by Mrs. A. Sihery.
Miss R. Fennell then took the chair
in the absence of Mrs. Knight.
"Breathe On m4, Breath of God" was
sung and the Lord's Prayer was re-
peated in' unison. 'The Scripture,
Psalm 24, was read responsively. A
duet, "The Lord's Prayer," was sung
by Misses Janie Moffat and Audry
Hall, accompanied by Mrs. Moffat,
and was much enjoyed. The. topic
sonsisted of three letters^,under' the
following headings and read. by Mies
Menet' MedJeal'Ml-
sions in'India, (2) Public Health and
Health Education,' e.g. maternity and.
child welfare, by Miss R. Fennell, (3)
The Great Scourges of India, e.g„
malaria, leprosy, smallpox, plague
and tuberculosis, by Mrs. H. Snell;
(4) Christian Training of Doctors and
Nurses in Lndia. The meeting closed
by singing, "Jesus Shall Reign
Where'er the SSM" and by repeating
the Mizpah benediction.

Tuesday, April 22, of Mrs, Sarah
Scott, of Los Angeles, California, for-
snerly Miss 'Sadie McLean, daughter
of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Mc-

Mrs. Scott is survived by one daugh-
