Marie Hunt read the Scripture lesson, from John 9, verses 1-11. A St. Patrick's story entitled, "A Thought For St. P-atrick's" was read by Marilyn Butts. The roll was called by the secretary, Marion Chamberlain, and the minutes of the last meeting were read. After the husinesS period, Psalm 23, was re- p.eated in unison from memory. "Jesus Bids Us Shine" was sung, and Mrs. Barber told the story of the sec- ond chapter of the study book, "Nyan- ga's Two Villages." Jean Snell was pianist for the meeting. A work period was held after the meeting. • Death of Mrs. William • Westco+t.— A well known and esteemed ,resident of Seaforth passed away in London on Sunday, March 10th, following an ill- ness of five and a half years, in the person of Annie—Copp, daughter • of the late -William Copp and widow of the late William Westcott, in her 85th year. Mrs. Westcott was born in Tuck- ersmith, and lived in Hensall and, Ex- eter before coming 'to, Seaforth. Mr. Westcott predeceased her in 1906. She vas a faithful member of Northside United Church and also a member of Edelweiss Rebekah Lodge, 'and pos- sessed a most generous and kindly disposition. Surviving are three sons, Nelson Westeott and J. A. Westcott„ Of town, and Alva H. 'Westcott, • of Calgary, Alta., also ten grand children and ten great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one eon, .Clarenee Westcott, who was killed in action in World War I, and by two daughters. The funeral was held on Tuesda.y, from the home of her son, Mr. J. A. Westcott, High Street, at 2 p.m, with Rev. H. V. Workman officiating:- The pallbearers were Dr. F. Harburn and Messrs. Malcolm McKellar, Sam Cud - more,/ Issac Hudson, A. L. Porteous and F. S.
