Lemdn - Orr.—A pretty wedding
took place in. Centennial United
Church, London, on Thursday last,
wizen Viola, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Orr, of Melbourne, was united in mar-
riage -to Mr. Orville Lemon, London,
son of Mr. and Mrs. David Lemon of
Seaforth. Rev. Richards officiated.
They left immediately after the cere-
mony for Seaforth, where they were
entertained at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. David Lemon, leaving later for
Fort Erie and Niagara Falls.
Lady Gdlfers Will Entertain.—Golf
on Tuesday, August, 13th, will be in
charge of Wilma Seip and the bridge
on Thursday will be in charge of
Mrs, James MacDonald. Mrs. 'F. G.
Forrester won the putting competi-
tion on Tuesday, and on Thursday
Mrs, Earl Bell won first prize in
bridge and 1.1Qrs- R. R. McKindsey the
travelling prize. On Thursday, Aug.
22nd, the Seaforth, lady golfers will
entertain the ladies of Mitchell and
St. Marys, when Mrs. K. McLean and
Mrs: C: P. Sills will be. in -change of

:• Death of Mrs. R. J. Muldrew.—Many
friends' in Seaforth and vicinity will
sincerely- regret to learn of the death
of Mrs. R. J. Muldrew, which (rccur-
red at her home in Brockville on
Saturday evening, August 3rd.. Mrs.
Muldrew had been in •pooh_health fo
two months, but her condition was
not considered serious, and her sud-
den death on Saturday evening came
as a great shock not only to her fam-
ily but to a wide circle of friends iu
Brockville and in Seaforth and vicin-
ity where she was so well known and
greatly esteemed.. Before 4her M'ar-
riaze she was Helen McNab, daugh-
ter of the late John McNab, a widely
know -n resident .of. this town for many
years, and was born. and spent all
her life ,here until her marriage ,to
Mr. R. J. -Muldrew seventeen years
ago, when she moved to Brockville.
where she continued to reside `until
her death. She is survived by her
huband, two step -daughters and one
brother, Mr. John R. McNab, of Lucile
cow. The funeral ,was held from her
late blame igeBrocltvilie on Tuesday
afternoon. followed by interment in
Brockville cemetery.

but quiet wedding took place on Fri-
day evening, August 2nd, at the home
of M'r. and Mrs. Walter. W. Cole,
Mason Road. Scarboro, when Maty
Marearet Ouktton, daughter of Mrs.
Cole and the Sate Wm. Oughton,
formerly. or Seaforth, was given in
r,'arriage by Mr. Walter W. Cole, to
Alfred Charles • Phillips, of .,Toronto,
amidst a gathering of fifty guests,.
Rev, Mr, Johnstone, of Queen : Street
East Presbyterian Church officiated.
The bride, wearing a charming gown
of rose Lace with matching hat and
shoulder -length veil, carried roses
and bouvardia. She wasp attended by
her sister, Miss Doris Oughton, wear-
ing a blue lace ,dress', a matching
hat andi a corsage of pink roses, The
groom was' assisted by Claude W.
Fraser. The bride's mother; Wearing
a grey sheer dress with navy acces-
sories and a corsage of roses, receiv-
ed the guests. After the reception
they bride and groom left for a short
motor trip, the bride wearing a light
blue crepe ensemble with white ac-
cessories. On their, retire they will
reside at 315 Westwood Ave., .To-
ronto.
Halle - Croweilr--A quiet but pretty
wedding took place Saturday, August
3rd, at 2.34) p.m. at St. Matthew's
Church, Conesto'go, when Verde
Nanette, eldest daughter of Mrs. R.
Crowell and the, late Lewis Crowell,
of Seaforth, was united in marria`3ge
to Isaac Percy, son of Mr. ani Mrs.
Isaac Hoyle, of Conestogo. The cere-
mony was performed by the Rev. S.
J. Witteg. The altar was decorated
with gladioli and lighted candles. The
bride wore a dress of turquoise chif-
fon. with white accessories. She car-
ried a white prayer • book and her
only ornament was a 'gold erase. The
bride was given, in marriage by her
mother, who chose a dusky chiffon
dross with blue accessories. The
bridesmaid was Mi -s. Gerald Harbert,
sister of the bride. She wore a dress
Of tea. arose 'with blue aceeesories.
The biedegroom Was assisted by his
brother, Albert Hells. After the
ceretmuny. a buffet supper .was Serv-
