Death of Thomas H. McCurdy Following an illness of more tihtan one year, Thomas H. McClellan, well- known resident of Stratford for nea,r,- ly forty years and veteran sportsman, succumbed at his residenice, 139 Front St., at neon, Tuesday. Mr. Mc- Curdy had been up and around dur- ing the past year but had suffered from a complication of aliments. In recent years he had made bis borne on .a farm near Bayfield in the sum- mer montheand spent the winter season at the family Wale in Strat- ford. Familiarly known as Tom Mc- Curdy, he will be rem'em:bered as one of the best lawn bowlers' of his day in Ontario and won prizes galore at mares of the larger tournaments in various parts of the province.
