with 'Clerk J. A. Wilson, indi-
cating in what proportion their,,
taxes are to be split between
public and separate schools. Sev-
en ' of the ten were unable to
designate any definite proportion,
since the majority of their share-
holders lived without the prov-
ince. Only one corporationhas
filed a return in McKillop. The
companies have until August 1st
to notify the municipality.

stand, 'which gets under way upon

number of small articles were miss-
ing from 'their stores. on Tuesday
morning, Constable James.. V. Ryan
was calked to investigate. Armed with
a description of the susipected shop-

a car of ancient vintage a short dis-

FOUND NEXT DAY
iA verdict of accidental death was
returned Tuesday by a jury probing
the death of Henry Dilling, aged in-
mate of the• Huron County Home,
who was found dead beneath the C.
N. IR. overhead bridge at the Bayfield
Road, last Thursday.
The jure •Iheard evidence of Gus
geback, that he had seen the inmate
fall from the railway bridge abut-
ment to the road below, also eve
dervice of Norman Lever, county traf-
fic' otlicer, and iDr. Oakes, who were
called immediately to the scene when
the body was found but found rife
extinct. The aged inmate had wan-
dered away from the home and was
being soue•.ht when the accident was
discov'ere'd.
' The inquest 'was before Coroner
Dr. F. J. Burrows, of Seaforth, and
was (held at iClindon.
According to officials at the Home
Mr. D'i11ing left the institution about
five o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Po-
• lice were notified and searched higlh-
ways and side roads until 'midnight,
but 'to no avian.

A storm iof cyclonic proportions vis-
ited the Walton-Llo.ndes!boro district
on Tuesday, when a large amount of
da,m'a.ge was done to farm ,buildings
and trees.
The storm appears to have centred
west of Walton; although windows
were blown in and trees uprooted, in
the village. Brenton' Glodkin had a
narrowescape as he was drivling a
tractor :in a field at the farm of Cecil
Lydiatt. He .tlook refuge under the
anraehine. The roof ef a barn on
this faun was blown off. `
Blyth had a heavy rain abut with
no acoamivany ing wind,. Auburn,
however, experienced a.- violent wind

MAIN STREET AUTOMOBILE PARKING
The Seaforth Town 'Council has decided to
try out a system of angle curb parking on Main
Street, from 1 p.m., on Saturday, July 25th, un-
til, Monday evening, August 10th.
If the system proves satisfactory, the coun-
cil will amend the by-law, making it permanent.
Angle curb parking {ii be permitted be-
tween
these dates, ori either side of Main Street,
with the exception of street or lane- intersec-
tions, in front of all gals -filling stations and the
Fire Hall; and parking in the centre of the
street will be discontinued during this time.,
Parking during the day will be lander the
supervision of Street Superintendent, James' V.
Ryan, and in the evening under Chief of Police
Helmer Snell, with assistance on Saturday
night, if necessary.
