Active Worker, not receiving a grand prize, suit-

RULES AND REGULATIONS
1.—Any reputable man, woman, boy or
girl is eligible to join the club.
2.. --Na employee of this newspaper or
members of an teneiloyee's immediate fam-
ily may become a member of the club. This
does not apply to carrier boys, news deal-
ers or correspondents.
3.—This elulb is for individuals—not or-
ganizations.,
4.--JWinners will be decided by their cred-
its, said 'credits being represented by bal-
lots issued for subscriptions,
5.—Club members may work where they
pioneer, collecting back subscriptions and
renewals as well as new subscriptions,
and credits will be issued on all.
6.-1Cash must accompany all orders
where credits are desired. Each club mem-
ber is an authorized' agent of this news-
paper, and it is di'stinetly understood that
EACH memrber will be RESPONSIBLE
FOR MONEY and remit amounts in full
to the caimpaiign department.
7. ---Credits are not transferable. One
member cannot withdraw in . favour of
another. Subs'criptions cannot be trans-
ferred from one member to another, and
any such transferred business will be sub-
ject to disqualification at the discretion of
the campaign,manager.
8. --Credits may be held in reserve or
polled, at the discretion of the club, mem-
ber, up to and including the last day of
the campaign, excerpt at discretion of the
club manager.
9.—In the event of a tie for any of the
award's, prizes idienbical in 'value will be
awarded to each tying club member.
10. -,Any collusion on the part of club
mlelmbers to the detriment of other club
members; will not be tolerated. Any dub
member entering into or taking part in
eruclr combination will forfeit all right to
any prize.
11.--fl'here will be several prizes awarded
to ACTIVE hon -prize winners, but it is
distinctly understood that ANY club mem-
ber failing to make a cash report .at least
once each week shall he declared INAC-
TIVE, and he or she will be disqualified
and will forfeit all' right to any prize,
filowever, missed reports may be made up
when the member desires to do so. ,
12.—This newspaper reserves the right to
offer special credits at any time during the
campaign and to correct typographical'
errors that may occur in. any of its an-
nouncements.
13, --No statement or promise, either writ --
ten or verbal, made rby anyone varying
from the rules as set forth will be recog-
nized. Any questions concerning the club
will he settled by the eamp2;t'gm manager
according ,to 'the rules, and his decision
will be final and conclusive.
