The special series of Evangelistic
meetings in- the Egmondville Church
have been corstinued with increasing
interest and very large congrega-
tions. In spite of conditions of roads
and weather that ordinarily might
have daunted any but stout hearts,
even the rural part of the congrega-
tion have responded "en masse."
Mr. Robinson has captured the
sympathy and affections of the entire
community by his splendid gospel
appeals. Not in the slightest degree
does he affect the bizarre and unus-
ual methods, which, in so many cases,
bring Evangelism into disfavor and
sometimes even disrepute. He takes
the most familiar and best -loved por-
tiorss 'of the Word of God, and in his
own inimitably original, yet thorough-
ly Evangelical way, he makes them
live again for his hearers, while his
keen sense of humor and fund of
splendid stories adds just the needed
touch.
Added to Mr. Robinson's poises. as
a gospel preacher is his outstanding
ability as a musical conductor. Both
choir and congregation have caught
the contagion of his enthusiasm and
are singing with a vim and expres-
sion that almost surprises themselves.
The enjoyment of the music A in-
creased by.Miss Grunert's sympathetic
accompaniments and her hymn im-
provisations and solos have been
greatly appreciated. Mr. Koffend,
the third member of the team, has
also greatly delighted the large con-
gregations by his solos, and his Wed-
nesday and Sunday object talks to
the boys and girls have given him a
rare place in their regard.
One of the special features has
been the picture nights. It is the
general consensus of opinion that the
views are the finest that have ever
been seen in this locality. The te-
productions of the great masters, the
scenic slides from different countries
of the East, especially from Syria,
