pretty wedding at eight o'clock Mon-

only daughter of Mr, and Mrs. T. 11.
Smith, formerly of Seaforth and Gode-
ich, became the bride of Mr. Eugene
Frantis MerNicholi, manager. of Mais-
soneuve branch, Bank of Toronto,.
Montreal, and youngest son of Dr.
and Mrs, E C. McNichol, -of Cobourg.
The cerenwty was performed by Rev.
Father Quirk, of Guelph, uncle of the
groom, assisted by Rev. M. Murray.

on Friday last, ir_ the. person of Ele
nor Hare, relict of the late William
Armstrong. She was born in Lis -
Li rn, County Antrim, •Ireland, - 86
years ago and in 1860, she along with
her husband, iinniigrated to Canada

ther of the groom, was best man. The
bride's another, wore a gown. of Rus-
sian green silk, long coat of plush

military toque. The groom's mother
were a black silk gown: with smart
litle black hat and long ,Belgian blue-
coat. The choir rendered beautiful
and appropriate music during the ser-
vice. assisted by the young ladies of
the Sodality ,the bride being a member
,of both. After the ceremony the wed-
ding party motored to Port Hope f rom
where they entrained for eastern
,pointe, afterwards taking up res-

took place in Donnybrook cemetery
and a large number of friends' ared
neighbors paid their last respects to

In the year 1.944 the subject' of this
notice was united in marriage to Miss
Alberta Morrow of Midland, who with
one son and t iree.daughters survive.
He was genial, generous and ready to
do a good turn to everyo e. For -sev-
eral years he was one of The auditors
of municipal accounts and was else

sociation of Brussels in. which, he was
greatly interested. A funeral service
was held at his late home, on Thurs-
daytevening, - and was largely
tended. Rev. Mr, Mann conducted
the service and spoke appropriate
words, The floral tributes were very
beautiful, among the number being a
large wreath from the Business Mens'
Association. Deceased was a ment-
ber of -the . Caaadiar_ brder of Forest- 1 4
ers . The remains were - taken by the
teeming train to Midland, to the town
in which the family expect to make
their home. Mrs: McLaren and chil-
dren arrived back from. Midland on ,
Tuesday and will continue to live here
in the meantime. They share in the
sympathy of the community at large.
It is expected the store will be opened
and e the sale continued as soon as the
necessary estate papers are completed.
