--On Wednesday, of last week, while
Mr. S. A. King, of Paisley, wae_driving
in the township of Greenock, his horse
shied at some sheep on the roadside.
The buggy was completely capsized,
with Mr. King in it, and he received
some ugly wounds and bruises on vari-

very painful and inconvenient for some
time. He is able to go around now,
but had a marvellous escape fro&

sunk within the limits of the. r•wn has
turned out a success. An aoundant
supply of excellent oil -has been secured.
A syndicate has been formed, nd some
six or seven other wells are to be sunk
at once. The town is very 'such ex-
cited over the affair. If - the supply
continues, it will be abig thin: for the
ancient town.

One of them was considerab y hurt,

other had her right leg .broke ) below
the knee joint, and was also n other
ways shattered. They are doing as
well as can be expected. Thi is an-
