Goon PHOTOGRAPHS. --Decor Sir : I
have lately seen some Cabinet Photographs of
several prominent townsmen and res delfts of
the neighborhood execrated at Moonu's Gallery,
Seaforth, which will bear favorable comparison
with those of the best city artists in that line. I
would recommend those desiring photographs to
call at Moon's Gallery and to inspect those
beauties of art for themselves. SEsaouTH. 458

Too LATE.—Several articles have come
to hand this week too late for insertion.
They will appear in our next. It is bad
policy for correspondents to delay their
say " until the last moment.
EUMOXDVJLLE.—The anneal pic-nic of
the Egmondvllle Presbyterian Sabbath
school will be held at Payne's grove on
Friday next, 28th inst. Rev. Messrs.
Danby and Thomson are expected to be
present.
J'TLLI STATISTICS.—Through the kind-
ness of Mr. Elliott, we ascertain that there
were 48 births, 11 marriages, and 10
deatha registered at the Town Clerk's of-
fice, Seaforth, for the half year ending
June 30th, 1876.
Itr AI'i `e: Mit°rcie—The annual reaping
match of the Huron Farmers' and Me-
chanics' Association will be held on the
farm of Mr. James Pickard, Exeter, on
Wednesday, J u.ly 26th, 1876, When lib-
eral premiums will be offered.
Boss- POTATO.—Mr. Thomas Darwin
has shown us a potato of the Early Rose
variety, grown in his garden this year,
which measured fit inches one way and
6,, inches the other. 'He says he has
been using them since the 6th of July.
THE FIRE ExoINE.—The firemen were
out for practice last Monday evening, and
the engine was tested with two sections
of hose. The engine was placed at the
tank • at L.nmsden's corner, and two
streams of water were thrown almost over
the top of the flag-pole,atthe British hotel.
,Should it work as successfully when re-
quired. for practical use, there is little
clanger of very serious damage being sus-
tained by fi1e in this town.
