This was owing, no doubt, td the stormy weather and bad roads. Prices rem:ain. tolerably- with olerably-with a slight upward tendency. Wheat is in better demand and quotations range -boht one cent per bushel higher than Iasi week. Barley and oasts remain •unchanged, but peas has taken a rise of from two to three cents over last week's quotations. A. coneiderable tlaantity of this latter grain is being brought in, and - samples suitable for seed, especially, are bought up readily at prices somewb t higherthan those quoted. Butter is b coming scarce, and is in good demand. For a No. 1 brand 16 cents per pound will be readily paid. Eggs have fallen to 14 cents, ' and are becoming more plentiful.
