.A Vrerors HORSE. ---A few days ago
as T. J. Churchill. veterinary sergeont
of this village, was preparing to give a
plissic ball to a sick horse belonging to
Messrs. Shearson & Co., the animal made
a grab at his eight hand, and catching
it m his teeth, siverely lacerated several
of his fingers. We are glad to learn
that the boctA• sustained no further
serious injury.
REITRNED. —We notice that Mr. Chas.
Wilson, of this village, who. in the
spring of 1870, accompanied the military
expedition from Canadato Manitoba,
has returned. Mr. Wilson looks bale
and hearty, and judging from his appear -
&nee the climate of the North West
agreed with him remarkably well. We
nechastand it to be Mr. Wilson's inten-
tion to return again in thespring.
