Old Time Christmas Show on Nov. 20

HENSALL CORRESPONDENT
HENSALL Hensall United Church is
holding a Scott Woods Old Time Christ-
mas Show on Thurs., Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. at
the Hensall Community Centre. Tickets
are $20 and are available from William Gib-
son (262-3217 or 263-2350) or Linda Firman
(262-3508). Tickets will also be available at
the door.
Les Hills conducted the Remembrance
Day service at Hensall United Church. Bill
Gibson and Joyce Pepper were the musicians
for the ministry of song. Carmel Presbyte-
rian Church members attended this service;
due to illness their minister was not able to
attend. The Hensall Legion Colour Party
led the Legion members into the sanctu-
ary. Oh Canada was sung and prayers said.
Amazing Grace and other timely hymns were
sung. The sermon was "What Shall We Do".
The offering was received by Mona Alder -
dice and Pat Veal. The service closed
with benediction. The Legion Colour
Party led the way to the cenotaph for
the placing of wreaths. A social time
followed at the Legion Hall.

Who Has Always Been There". Rob-
ert Cameron was the organist. The
ushers were Evaline McAllister and
Betty Simmons. Lillian Beer was
the candle -lighter. Cheryl Rader
looked after the nursery.

Centre was favoured with good
weather and was very popular.
At the Granton -Wesley United
Church on Sun., Nov. 16, Pastor
Paul Vollick led the service and
the message was entitled Use
it or lose it?
Blake Forran lit the Christ
candle. The Scripture readings
were from Matthew 25 and
1st Corinthians 12. Time was
shared with the young people
of the congregation.
