The Lucan Legion attended and poppy chair Barb Tuxford led the service. Laying the Canada wreath was followed by the Province of Ontario wreath by Tom McLaughlin, World War II Veterans by Bill Smith, Korea Veterans by Harold Trayne, Granton Lions Club by Gary Broughton, in memory of William Lambourn by Josh Lambourn, Granton -Wesley United Church by Stan Wyatt and the 0 Connor Fam- ily by Kevin 0 Connor. Pastor Paul Vollick led the church service and the message was entitled, Why We Re- member. The Scripture readings were from Joshua 24 and 1 Thes- salonians 4. Elizabeth Herbert lit the Christ candle. Bev Shipley, Time was also shared with the young people of the congregation. Herbert also read the names of Granton area church Veterans and Lloyd Mardlin laid a wreath in their memory. Happy Birthday to Alma Nicholson, who will be celebrating her birthday at the Ritz Lutheran Villa in Mitchell on Fri., Nov 14 from 2-4 p.m. At the St. Paul s Anglican Church in Kirk - ton on Remembrance Sun., Nov. 9, Rev.
