Gum chew- ing increases saliva flow too which also can reduce the feeling of heartburn. Traditional Chinese medicine practitioners look at the tongue to make many diagnoses. Fat tongues could signify low thyroid. Red beefy tongues might mean pernicious anemia. A bumpy tongue could be a sign of poor oral hygiene. Fissures on the tongue are common and don't mean anything serious. Blood pressure pills work in various ways to keep your blood pressure down. One works by reducing the sodium in your body.
