Crediton Cubs split four games Ironwood Golf league scores
CREDITON - The Crediton
Cubs jr.fmt. fastball team split
four more league games
recently Crediton defeated
Ilderton Jrs. 6-2 and
mercied Innerkip 18-0
but lost to London
Rebels 7-4 and
Oakridge 7-3.

innings and closed
the door in the sev-
enth with one more.
Ange Gould and Marianne
Scott led their team at the
plate with two doubles apiece.
Megan Preszcator added two
single hits. Long doubles
came from the bats of Kelli
and Kerri Fulton and Carie
Pertschy while a single hit
was added by Natalie Laporte.
Marianne Scott went the
distance for Crediton notching
eight strikeouts.

Crediton's first inning
seemed to be its demise
allowing its opponent to score
four runs. The Cubs replied
with three runs in the second
inning but just couldn't seem
to wake their bats up for the
whole game.
Nikki Cyr led her team at
the plate with a dou-
ble and a single and
single hits came
from Megan
Preszcator, Kathy
Glen, Ange Gould
and Mary Glen.
Carrie Dixon went
the distance for
Crediton.

An injury -packed
game found Crediton
on the losing side of
its home game
against the London
Rebels.The Cubs
had lots of hits
throughout the
game but could not
put them in a
sequence to score
runs. A four -run
fourth inning scored
all the runs.

Gould added a double and
single. Natalie LaPorte added
two singles while single hits
came from Kathy Glen, Kelli

debut notching two
strikeouts.
Kathy Glen made a competi-
tive but comical catch from
her back to end the game. As
the umpire quoted "She gave
the fans their money's worth".
