Local winemakers bring home awards
EXETER — Les and Ann Wernham,
owner of Pints Unlimited in Exeter,
recently picked up two more wine -
making awards at North America's
largest amateur wine competition.
The business won silver and bronze
at the International Wine Competition
in Manchester, Vermont, bringing the
number of awards won by Pints
Unlimited to three gold, seven silver
and five bronze at international wine
competitions over the past nine years.
The Wernhams received silver for
their German Gewurztraminer and
bronze for their Chocolate Raspberry
Port.
The competition saw a record 4,321
entries from 48 American states,
eight Canadian provinces and six
countries judged in 50 different cate-
gories.
`Arabian Nights'
celebration
Volunteer award — Midwestern Adult Day Services
recently celebrated their volunteers with an Arabian
Nights event in Grand Bend at the Royal Canadian
Legion. Receiving a 10 -year volunteer service award was

sented by education co-ordinator Maggie Brennan of
the Alzheimer Society of Huron County, Montessori
Training and an afternoon of belly dancing in keeping
